Headers only = no real use
Full meesage = not too bad, until I get a large attachment. (then GPRS is too expensive)

Really hope the developer is able to add this feature.

###The 1st option will allow you to download only the header...The suject of the e-mail....and the e-mail id 4m whom it was send 4m....

###The 2nd option will allow you to control the e-mail volume...that means after seeing the Header...if you are not sure enough that what the mail is consist of then..if you click the email Prifilemail will download only the first 4kb of that e-mail and this will give you a detailed control on ur GPRS tarrif...

Let me know your decision...as personally i favour the Profimail one over the Fleximail...as Profimail is fast...easy..and colourfull...in other hand Fleximail has a lot of feauture...but it is still buggy...do crash a lot...slow..

since my last post I have both programs installed on my O2 Mini, but, have only used this program since then.

One feature i really like is that Profimail, removes emails from the Inbox once the files have been removed from the server (downloaded to desktop).

I Dont Thing there has such feature in this software..and as far as i know this kind of feature generaly do Reserved By Mail server...Check in ur mail server option for that kind of feauture..like..dont delete mail even after pop download...like that...

and in other Hand you can use this way to delete mail 4m ur mini...so that it will not be deleted 4m ur server...

>>>In Profimail>go to ur account (Name)>select the mail which u want to delete...(not by clicking rather by using updown button of mini)>click menu>click Message>Delete from device.

Then the problem is surely in ur GPRS setting...

Can u use ur GPRS connection 4 other purposes??

can u give me ur details gprs setting....??Like what kind of connection...proxy?or open?that means in connection menu is it in under my isp or is under my work network?

For ur Probs...Follow This..

Go To>Menu>Tools>Configuration>Auto-update time..(in this field mention the time in minute..example=1min )This will auto connect ur mail box with the server and download the new mails...

I think That will do ur Need...

you can increase ur time out time (alive connection time in setting)...

but i guess this is releted to ur gprs connection...u may be using a wap proxy connection rather then a open tcp/ip connection...if u can then change ur connection type...

A TIPS: connect ur PPC with ur pc by activsync and share ur pcs internet connection with PPC to check ur mail with Profimail....If u still get probs then it may be releted to ur setting..but if the probs solved then the probs is with ur PPC's gprs connection...

Are u using the supplied keygen to generate a serial....???

Check ur owner name in start>setting>ownerinformation>

write the exact name in the supplied keygen (capslock matter) to generate a keygen....it will do work...i think so...as nobody complain yet abt this kind of probs you mentioning...

Did u tried the method of activesync one that i mentioned earlier....was it a succeed??...and by the way which PPC ur using??...and what kind of connection...??i think the problem lies in ur connection setting....

in other hand do a reinstallation of profimail...and if possible do it after a hard reset to find out was that probs couseing by other software..

caution:after a hard reset u will lose all ur data...so do a backup first or take the responsibility on urself....before doing hardreset

since my testing of both Flexmail and Profimail, I have finally removed Flexmail from my O2 Mini, only reason was that Profimail, just operates so much faster.

But, Flexmail for me, is still the most powerful product, but, it is getting slower. Lets see when they release V.3 which will be almost a total rewrite of the code.

First of all in start>seeting>connection>Connections>Under My Isp> You have to create a bluetoooth DUN connection with ur cellphone...With number *99#...and have to select it as default...

then open profimail...go to menu>configaration>Access Point>Select My Isp As ur default connection...

With the cell phones gprs connection sharing by bluetooth if u can browse internet in ur PPC then u can also do check ur mail in ur PPC with profimail....

Im not sure abt that..but as u can surf the internet in ur PPC so u should also able to use Profimail....

Now check ur Blutooth DUN Connection...Is it under My Isp Or My Work Network????...

If its under My isp...and dont use any proxy...then go to setting>connections>connections>Advanced>select Network...here under "Program that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:"

Just select "My Isp" from the drop down menu....

If ur bluetooth Dun connection is under My Work Network..and use a proxy...then just select "My work Network"...from the drop down list instit of "My Isp"


I also use a Old Ipaq with my Motorolla V3...for browsing internet..via Bluetooth DUN Connection....

My DUN connection is under "My Isp"...so i selected that as my default internet connection by avobe method....

and i can also changed the access point to MY ISP from the cnfigaration menu of profimail....

You should give some time to figure out the probs...and then everything will be ok....

I cant confarm though..as i didnt tried it yet..will gonna give it a try later on the day...but i can confarm v2.42 did worked with the old serial..

I have just updated my profimail to v2.51 ....and its working flawless no demo ar anykind of lmitation..


I just updated it 4m the profimail menu Tools>Program Updates... and ovewrited on previous v2.42

I think if u do a fresh installation then the old serial may not work so just install the old version register then update it with latest v2.51 and it will stay register..

Hello this is really weardo... i did double checked it its working 4 me...im using wm 2003se in my i-mate jam...

after updating it yesterday i have sent 7 mail and receive more then 50 mail but the program never asked me for registration code neighter in menu i found the registration button...that means its registered already...

i have updated to v2.51 from v.2.42...

and just now i did a hard reset installed the version 2.42...registered. then did a online updates...its already registered...no probs at all

anyways can anyone confirm the same probs here??????????

You Could do if u have a paid account in yahoo and hotmail (not the free worldwide one)...though somew localized verson of yahoo do support pop for free but i cant confirm....

and for free account u may give a try to gk mail as its mentioned that it support both yahoo and hotmail but i dont know is t the free account one or for paid one...

Guys, I tried this software on my Dopod 818 Pro. Then I setup mail account for yahoo.co.uk, but when downloading messaging it doesn't work, and it made my PDA stuck 'till I got soft reset on it. Does anybody have the same problem with me?? Pls help

profimail doesnt handle sms related job...

no u cant assign one click shortcut to write mail menu directly but u can

create a shortcut to lunch the program itself

and it doesnt overrite the existing inbox....

i also do use phonealarm but no conflict yet...

originaly this is a standalone program which only handle e-mail related job in very neat and easy way without interfairing any other program it has a lot of funtionality in mail section but it does lack those extra feature u mentioned here if u need those feature then u should go 4 flexmail which i have also posted earlier..

This won't work with mail2web push email. mail2web is a push service that is tied to the WM5 core OS (via activesync). Profimail is a standalone email program, and not tied to the OS. It is useful if you have POP, or IMAP email accounts. Profimail handle those very well.

That is just told "Simple text message" and it is really simple text message not SMS.....

sorry but it doesnt support imap idle or exchange server push e-mail facilities...so u cant use this 4 those perposes....

and if u mean the full featured filtering option then again this doesnt support that...

and im mentioning here again profimail is a simple e-mail program with easy to understand limited feature with great stability and speed....and 4 getting a full blowned featured reach e-mail program then u can try gk-mail or fleximail they do blessed with those....but you know everything has it's limitation as it do have advantages....

if you mean Nokia 9300 which is symbian s80 device then this release doesnt support ur set athough there has a seperate release of the same software targated s80 and i think u will probably find it under the s80 section of the forum...

unfortunatly for hotmail there's no way to use profimail... only if you own the premium hotmail account...

For yahoo try this settings:

Account Name: what you want

I guess yahoo.com doesn't have pop account (I read it in some magazines), but specific yahoo address per area such as yahoo.co.id, yahoo.co.uk etc does have pop account.
So if you want to use your yahoo account, better you make a new one under your specific area.
