I live in the UK and i hate my N70, i drive 100's of miles a week and need to have some navigation software, i have always used tomtom mobile on my 6260 but my company said they wanted to give us new phones, N70, so i sold my old phone and transfered everything to my N70, what a mistake. however i have heard that have the latest firmware will solve the BT issue.

as i live in the UK does anyone know the best place to get this done??? i also hear carphone warehouse is a bad idea.

I would like to know where the best place is also?!

I tried going to the carphone warehouse today to get it done, and was told that they need to leave it there for a couple of days! I cannot do with leaving it! And they offered a temporary phone of a 1100 for £50 returnable deposit! Forget that!

So in short, is there anywhere where you can go that does it while you wait so to speak? Surely there must be a list of places online or something?

Well you can always get a flashing box for around ~$300 and the cable and do it yourself. There is a sticky in this forum that has the latest n70 firmware, download that then use the bb5 section of the sarasoft DCT software and change it yourself, depending on your comp, the proccess takes couple of hours.

so either buy the hardware, or get it done free at a shop... think I'll take the second option, since am never likely to use the hardware again afterwards...

if it was cheap like when I brought my z600 terminator dongle (~£20), then I Wouldn't mind...

i suggest you get it done at an authorised shop only. they are trained, experienced and if anything goes wrong, you can always get it rectified.
