there is one very easy method for software updating phones

just need two things
1. original Nokia flasher Phoenix or third party Nokia flasher (JAF UFS MT-box or other tool )
2. cable USB DKU-2 or CA-53 (in some cases)for JAF or PHOENIX or FBUS cable for any other case

for BB5 phones like 6270 is, i prefer Fbus cable it is more safe way for flashing this phones

Thanx Vascof1, but i have read in other threads that it is now possible to flash ur 6270 at home only with the help of a DKU-2 cable..i dnt even require a dongle also for that..
i have got the data cable that came with the cell n now i have downloaded the latest firmware i.e. v3.69 but dnt knw what exactly to do now..

the firmware version 3.69 provided here does not allow you upgrade ur firmware using dku-2 cable we need the proper firmware to upgrade it updated my n70 using dku2- but coulnt upgrade my 6270.There is some problem with this firmware.

All nokia firmware are same... If you're using 'cracked phoenix software' sure not 100% work.

You must make dead flash for your phone with 3.69. Because yo can not work older firmwares. You must make dead flash your phone with 3.69. And it will work...

Can u help with any version higher than 3.90. I've tried V3.81 then V3.90 but phone still reboots.

im having a serious problem with my 6270 = i dont know if its a firmware one or just hardware failure but my on/off button doesnt seem to work since two days ago :s i cant turn it off or on :s
has any one experienced similar problems?
