after extracting. obtained a vtm file and transfered it to the phone then i cant install it. it opened as a media sound file and don"t work!!

ok i downloaded the file so what do i do now

you need to isntall the main application... this is only a map... try to search for "vito"...

i can load the map (phil) on my 6630 but its tooooooo slow sometimes it stops and gives me a white screen....

tyonsms and kel ! i installed phils. map to my 6630 and 6680 and i got "error -100" or sometimes "memory full" . i dont know what will i do but i m still trying ! lets try to solve this problem.

Hey guys I've successfully downloaded the Philippine map and installed the Vito Smart Map v 1.00 s60 on my N6600. Unfortunately, the map cannot be recognized by the Smart Map, is there something wrong?

I have no idea what the problem could be, I think it's just a problem loading the map. Whether or not the GPS is on doesn't make a difference either. I have a GPSlim with the new sirf chipset, I'm kinda new to cebu so I've been looking for a way to get around better. :D

Is there software where i can use these maps without having a GPS receiver??

and another question,where I can find the map of israel?

The maps are very high level. You won't get street level maps. Nothing like TomTom or route66. But you can't get maps for asia in those programs. Better than nothing but not that much better. If your travelling really long distances, inter towns or states than perhaps it might help. Even then only if you have a GPS device.

Somebody please explain in detail how to open these maps. I have installed vito smart map v1.00 on my 6670. Then I copied the maps of India [all the 3 .rar files]through bluetooth to my inbox. But when I opened the rar file in my inbox of my mobile it doesnt open and exit out of my inbox. So I trird to extract those file in my computer. I extracted the files in computer but showed a message while extracting 'Plz insert disk'. After extracting I copied 2-3 maps to the folder ..\others\ as I read it in posts. After that I opened smart map app and clicked on load maps and I clicked on the names of map. I tried to open one of the map. But again it showed the main application screen and failed to open the map. I dont know whats wrong.
SOMEONE PLZ HELP AND EXPLAIN IN DETAIL THE WHOLE PROCEDURE OF LOADING THE MAPS...ANYONE WHO HAVE SUCCEDED IN LOADING MAPS PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW AND WHICH PHONE MODEL DID THEY USED TO LOAD MAPS...THANKS IN ADVANCE..:lol:

working gr8 copy all the files to others and then load the map and press 1 on keypad to zoom the map....

I have successfully downloaded vito smartmap v1.0 & Indian map frm this thread & installed vito smartmap on my N70 successfully. I extracted & transferred files to E:\Others. When I open smartmap->map->load map->24-Maharashtra. I get to options ok & cancel. When I press ok it returns 2 prevoius screen.
So How can I open map on my N70, plz help & thanks in adv.....Rep++

Yeah... I would also like to install the Singapore map like the one from streetdirectory.com. Previously I installed one in my PDA (O2 Atom Pure) and it was great... just wondering if Symbian phones have such an application available since I had made a search and those available aren't what Honeydew and I were looking for. Anyone can help out?

well dude i cant extract the india maps ....

man, the part3.zip file contain the part3.rar file

first extract the zip file which will give you the part3.rar file then
put all three rar files in same folder then extract

workin on my 6630
first i install the app
then copy all the map in memorycard\system\app\smartmap
then when you run the app it shows the map but my app shows map after few min.

VITO sucks... it doesn't load the map..!!! it says loaded but it doesn't show.... I'm using n-gage cls.... I'm sure many are experiencing the same problem.......
