hi there i got myself a 7610 with tomtom loaded onto it also got a gps receiver which is paired with the phone bluetooth, but i cannot get a gps signal in tomtom it just keeps looking for ever and ever.
is there something i should be doing??

What does it say in the status bar in tomtom? It should give you a clue as to where the problem is. If "No GPS device" means you have not configured your gps in tomtom.

Or if it says "GPS signal lost ... seconds ago" means tomtom has found your gps, however the gps has yet to find a fix. I would test the gps receiver with an app like bluesky to confirm it is all in working order then try tomtom.

no valid gps signal. is what it says they are connected via bluetooth but no signal thats the prob?
how do i test the receiver then? i am a n00b

Install bluesky gps. [Only registered and activated users can see links]

In bluesky choose connect to gps and satellites info will be displayed. After a few minutes the display should turn to colour to indicate you have a fix. If it stays white then your receiver is not finding enough satellites to get a fix.

Unless you have an external aerial it is better to be outdoors for faster results.

got it sorted now
just cant get voices to work i put the ozzy swer one on but hen i go to voices it seems to freeze?
