Guys I have a Nokia 7610, on which I installed Power Mp3 sometime back and it was working perfect, a few days ago I tried installing some N-gage games on it with fixes and all, and they ended up ruining the player.. and now each time I open it an error comes "Low memory. Close some applications and try again." I have 256 MB MMC which has about 80MB of free space. I uninstalled everything which, in my regard, caused it; but still can't make it run. I seriously need help with it, because I just love that player & I can’t afford to format my MMC/phone. By the way, those games never worked the way I anticipated, mind you!

You should post your problems at Symbian (S60/80/90) Apps and not here.
Your problems might be too many soft ruuning on your phone and cause the memory(handphone) low and not your mmc cards. Worse , you might have installed games that carry virus and cause your problems.
Use system explorer file to see your phone memory, for a soft or game that will run well in Symb phone the memory must keep to be 8MB. IF not you should close some unnessary soft that run in background. As for Power Mp3 try to uninstall and then install your soft.
If still cannot works, then you might need to consider to have ur phone format.

The thing is... I have a Nokia 7610.. which has a total phone memory of 7.99MB out of which 6.27 MBs are free & I didn't install any application, it was just a few fixes for some games(which only run with the game) before which it was working perfect. & there can possibly be no virus... because I have Symantec Mobile Anti-virus on my phone which happens to be quite effective when it comes to detecting viruses. Can you please come up with a solution, anything which'd spare me from formatting it?

Search for Appman on this forum
Install it onto your phone, and then use the Compress Memory and Close All Apps functions and try again, it should work for you...

...Oh never mind, I'll just use Viking Player instead. Although it's not as good as Power Mp3, but it's not all that bad either. Thanks anyway.
