[b]Resetting a Frozen iPod[b]
If your iPod becomes stuck or frozen, you can reset it with these steps.
Hold Switch in Locked Position:
Check to make sure that you do not have the Hold switch in the locked position. If the Hold switch is in the locked position, you will see a lock symbol on the screen. Slide the Hold switch to the unlocked position and check the screen.
If this does not resolve the problem, follow the steps below to reset your iPod.
To reset iPod, iPod (Scroll Wheel), and iPod (Touch Wheel):
1. Connect your iPod to the Apple iPod Power Adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect your iPod to your Mac's built-in FireWire port
2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off (slide it to Hold and then turn it off again)
3. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until the Apple/iPod logo appears (about 6 to 10 seconds). You may need to repeat this step
