Dopod 818pro audio update(2006/03/28)

Installation:

Save the file to computer.

Unzip the file to any folder.

Ensure that ActiveSync is connected when mobile device is connected to computer using USB cable.

Transfer the AudioDrvPatch.cab file to mobile device.

Run the AudioDrvPatch.cab file to start installation.

After installation, please carry out a soft reset on the device.

Issue Fixed:
To improve the performance of the mobile device speaker.

I am not sure, suppose not because dopod 818pro is wm5 and i-mate jam is ppc2003. You should try to get some patch file from i-mate or o2. BR.

can't instal it on device, but can instal on storage card, is it right n how can you tell the different..? i'm using on my 818.

For those who cannot apply the patch one, you can download the rom and flash your phone with the newer rom. I uploaded the rom here:

As the title said, it improve the performance of the mobile device speaker. Overall the sound become more "smooth".. After that u still can apply the equaliser patch. Then the sound will be better..

Princer, that's because you still have not enough 20 posts or 24 hrs to go to firmware section to dowload the ROM. BR.

Yes It is, I suggest You to update Your Rom as soon as possible, because this new rom has eliminated many bugs, not only in the audio. The important thing is the speed also increase significant

Installed it on my 8215 and had to hardreset because I couldn't hear any sound anymore. Just FYI before you attempt it ;)

Hi...

I just bought the 818.. how do i check if the firmware is updated?

I had downloaded the file and un-rar it, it lead me to another rar and un-rar again but not end up with any .cad file..

I had try on dopod website too.. no update ROM to dl as well...

please advise.

Saw this ROM updates in Dopod's website:

Dopod 818 Pro ROM Code (2006/4/25)
ROM version: 2.15.13.27 WWE
ROM date: 03/09/06
Radio Version: 02.19.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: 2.15.13.121

My Dopod 818 pro is using this ROM, should I apply this patch or it's already fix by this ROM???

u can upgrade after u download the firmware from the website

Oops... I downloaded to my Dopod 838pro... oops.. and now the sound is kindda gone! What can I do? Can't really un-install it rite now!!

Ckckckck.... I had say it only works for "DOPOD 818"
It was officialy release for "DOPOD 818" Why you guys still tried to install it ???? How pathetic....

The the most simple way to recover your PDA is only hard reset... Make sure you read first befor installing an application...
