I found many of my client's pc infected with virus through email and they are complaining that they don't even open the mail. But during they wanted to remove the unknown email, outlook express actually by default previewing the mail and the virus script is activated.

To help protect yourself from email viruses infecting your computer if you use Outlook Express is to disable the Preview Pane. There are certain viruses that will infect a computer even if you just preview the message. To disable the preview pane:

Start Outlook Express
Click on View, Layout
Uncheck the Show Preview Pane, and then click OK.

Hope this small trick help you free from trouble. BR.

Actually, personally i don't like running the antivirus at backgroup. It will very much reduce the performance of pc, especially like kapersky.

first of all dont even use microsoft. use mozilla thunderbird. much cleaner and has more security. combine it with avg free edition and it makes a really secure setup. avg scan the file before downloading them into your inbox. to date i have had not one virus and i recieve junk mail like crazy.

I personally use Norton... for all these years it really protected me... I heard people have bad experinces with it.. but for me at least, it works great.

Is this freeware? And why is it that AVG is not good? Please kindly elaborate, I thought AVG is quite good? Esp when it is free!

Kaspersky is a commercial-only product, it doesn't have a free edition. AVG is good, there's no problem with it, so you can use it safely. Altough, I use avast! for a few years now, personal free edition, and I'm happy with it.
