Hi guys, I got a 3G vodafone mobile connect card with Vodacom (South Africa) and they can give me a 3.5G HSDPA connect card for free because its a new service they are releasing.
Is it any good? Should I let them replace my 3G with HSDPA?
Speeds announced up to 1.8Mbps
Please give me ur opinion coz I'm no good at this
BTW there are no extra costs, not even hidden lol
Thanks

I would definitely take the new HSDPA card (3.5G). It has obvious benefits, most importantly the higher speeds achievable. Also it is backward compatible to work on GPRS & EDGE networks. Furthermore, all Vodacom 3G towers in South Africa are now HSDPA enabled.
I can't wait for the new HSDPA phones to become commercially available in South Africa. Samsung has already announced the first HSDPA phone, I think it's called the Z560.
If you're sure there's no hidden costs why should you even have second thoughts...if I were you I'd surely take this...1.8 MBps is great speed...

then why not? in any case if the networks not working well then just back to your 3g package.. No harm to try..

they wont give my 3G back actually. They say HSDPA is 1.8 Megabits, and I think 3G is suppose to be 384 kilobytes, so aint i losing something here or is it an error of theirs? do they mean 1.8 megabytes?
i dont want to get something in which i will lose speed, so pls tell me
thanks
