There is simply no other racing game for the PSX with the same graphic quality, depth, detail, and replay value. This is an absolute must-buy for racing fans, and is still highly recommended for everyone else. Gran Turismo's Arcade Mode is like all the other racing games you've played. There are a bunch of cars to choose from, 3 skill levels, and 4 tracks on which to race. Race well and you can get lots of additional cars and 4 new tracks. The 2 player mode runs split screen and the graphics stay nice and smooth.It is the Simulation mode where you really discover the inner workings of the game. You start with 10,000 'credits' with which you can buy, say, a used Honda Prelude. Race it in some 'spot races' (no special license required) and you can win enough money to soup it up a bit. A new exhaust system, some softer tires or a sports suspension.

Driver 2 is a great sequel. It has everything that made the first game a hit, plus tons of new features like the ability to get out of your getaway car and run around on foot. As such, everyone who liked the first game is going to love Driver 2 - the new types of missions, cities, and gameplay features, as well as a fantastic, original story, make Driver 2 a winner.
The new ability to jump out of the car and run around in the environment really makes Driver 2 seem different than the original game. The game does have a steep learning curve, as you'll likely end up trying to complete a level several times before actually getting it down right. But if you're up for a challenge and enjoy racing games even a little, then you'll find that Driver 2 is an extraordinary game.

Bloody Roar 2 features a queue of 10 fighters, nine readily available and one hidden. The line-up, for those who are interested:
Yugo the Wolf, Stun the Insect, Marvel the Leopard, Bakuryu the Mole, Long the Tiger, Alice the Rabbit, Uriko the Half-Beast (a partial cat creature), Busuzima the Chameleon, Jenny the Bat and Gado the Lion.
Each of the characters has his or her moves based on the form of which they assume. For example, the bat can hover a bit and knaw at the enemy's neck; the rabbit's super quick and has powerful kick attacks. And the chameleon can turn invisible -- almost ripped straight out of Mortal Kombat.
You'll fight in 3D arenas such as a city, an aquarium, and the beach, as well as seven more distinct locations. The game plays very similar to Sega's Fighting Vipers – each arena is surrounded by a fence. Fighters can slam each other into the walls for even more cheesy combos. You can even slam your opponent through the fence in a powerful, awesome finishing move.

Thousand Arms is the story of Meis Triumph, scion of the venerable Triumph clan - overlords of the town of Kant and spirit blacksmiths for seven generations. One day, the dark acolytes attack the slumbering village, and Meis is thrown out of his ancestral home. Barely reaching the capital city, Boyzby, he meets Sodina, a young girl whose brother, Jyabil, happens to be a master spirit blacksmith. Jyabil takes Meis as an apprentice, but the Dark Acolytes have their sights set on Boyzby as well... thus, the story unfolds.

When Disney and Final Fantasy combine like Voltron as they did originally in Kingdom Hearts, and now with Kingdom Hearts II, what we arrive at isn't a giant robot, but a living, breathing fairy tale in the purest sense. In this tale, the magic and wonder from Disney's pantheon of worlds and characters are merged with the interactivity and excitement of an epic Square Enix role-playing adventure. The result, in theory, may seem contrived or overly convoluted. But it works. And it works beautifully. Kingdom Hearts II is one of the best games you'll play this year.
If you haven't played the original Kingdom Hearts for the PlayStation 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA, you're not going to understand much of the storyline. And if you're like me, and you've played both games, you still won't understand some of what goes on. This appears intentional. Director Tetsuya Nomura's team has done some incredible things with the franchise, but an easy to decipher storyline is pretty far down on the list.
The basic premise of the game is that Sora is wielder of the keyblade, a magical weapon with incredible power that can unlock gates to other worlds, and as such can be used to travel between alternate realities. These alternate realities include the Disney worlds we've seen in film, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas's Halloween Town, and Winnie the Pooh's 100 Acre Wood. You'll spend an hour or more righting wrongs and helping out the hero from each particular world and then move on to the next fantasy land that needs assistance, as you search for answers, your missing friends, and the wise King Mickey.
Pros:
Gorgeous graphics; excellent soundtrack and voice acting; deeper combat system; perfect blend of the Final Fantasy and Disney universes.
Cons:
Music isn't as catchy as in the original Kingdom Hearts; camera issues; you need to play the previous games to make sense of the insane storyline.
GAME FEATURES:

Beauty and the Beast and Mulan

Burnout Revenge

It may have started out as just another post-Ridge Racer driving game with a unique focus on beautifully destructive car crashes, but over the years, the Burnout series has really carved out its own spot in the racing genre. Last year's Burnout 3: Takedown was when the series truly came into its own by achieving a near-perfect balance between high-speed racing and nefarious racing tactics designed to put the other racers out of commission. With a name like Burnout Revenge, you might expect the latest game in the series to be a little rougher, a little meaner. And you'd be right. While it isn't a total reinvention, Burnout Revenge makes significant alterations to the Burnout formula that essentially render every other game in the series obsolete.
Burnout Revenge's tracks have a lot of alternate paths hidden in them.
The biggest changes in Burnout Revenge come in its track design and in the ability to slam into some nonracing traffic and plow right through it. Wrecking into innocent bystanders in automobiles is known as traffic checking, and it's limited to small and medium-sized cars that are stopped or traveling in the same direction as your vehicle. These cars, once hit by a racer, essentially become weapons. If you slam them just right, you can send them flying into the other lane, ideally slamming into another racer and taking him down immediately. But checked traffic will also fly behind you after being rear-ended, letting you create tricky flying obstacles for other racers to avoid. Having to keep track of which traffic you can and can't hit adds an interesting layer of complexity to the game, though the sometimes comical physics displayed by checked traffic--which flies around like you're wrecking into an aluminum can--looks a little weird. The whole concept also ties in to the new traffic attack event, which gives you money for each car you smash and ties its medals to specific dollar amounts.

In 2013, the U.S. Army will implement the Integrated Warfighter System evolving what we know as the modern soldier. IWS combines advanced weapon systems, satellite communication devices and enhanced survivability into one fully integrated combat system. Age of Empires for the Nintendo DS shares its name with the popular and long-running PC real-time strategy game series, but it's been completely redesigned to play well on a portable system. Specifically, this is a turn-based strategy game that plays much more like Advance Wars than like previous Age of Empires games. Yet almost all of the elements that made the original version of Age of Empires II so great are still here, despite such a fundamental change to the gameplay. There are a few relatively minor issues with Age of Empires for the DS, but for the most part, this is a fun, deep, and addictive strategy game that packs in a good history lesson to boot.

Deadly Silence is an almost exact port of the Playstation original. Play as S.T.A.R.S. special agent Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine as you explore a zombie-filled mansion and eventually uncover the Umbrella Corporation's deadly viral secrets.
The puzzles have been mixed around a little bit, but they're still pretty much the same as before. There are also a few puzzles that use the touchpad and microphone, as per the draconian DS rules, but by and large this is the same game as the one released in 1996, just smaller.
