Hi, i thought of that before i bought my bluetooth dongle. mine is billionton bluetooth class 1 from IVT corp. anyway, it says it can reach up to 100 m. but when i tried it can only send files from my computer to my mobile phones (6680, 6630,N70,6670,6600 **as u see**i love S60 phones) for about 60m max. this is in a clear way, no walls, curtains, etc in between but the phone cannot send any files and cannot pair to my computer. maybe because it's too far...... i hope this may help in your dilemma.

Hey as i also have bluetooth dongle which says 100m. Practically they dont. Dongle says 100 m this does not depend upon your mobiles buletooth capacity. If you buy a 100m bluetooth dongle you will get a range of 65m max. This range is your dongles range not ur mobiles. As your mobile has 10m capacity then i would suggest that stay in the limit. I mean why would anyone put his bluetooth enabled phone 10m aways while transfering files. Dont worry about those range things and go ahead and buy a good bluetooth dongle. And one more suggestion Keep ur Bluetooth Driver software updated.
Enjoy

I don't agree....I used to transfer files between my computer and 6630 keeping them in separate rooms!!!Worked fine...

With my old dongle I had to sit in the same room as my computer to browse the internet trough bluetooth with my smartphone. After buying a cnet CBD-120 (bluetooth v2.0 and class 1) I can do the same in my whole apartment, even tough my phone is not class 1.
