Now here is a small guide of how to register your smartmovie app:


The smartmovie zip file comes with a keygenerator. in there you must type in your imei number (press *#06# to see your imei number). then you can generate the key to unlock the phone app.
After registering the phone app you will see in the place where you typed in the register code, " unlock converter". this option is used to register the pc converter that also comes with the app.
To unlock the converter simple press the register option on the converter. you will be given a request code composed of a few numbers. you must type this request code on the phone app in the "unlock converter option". you will then be given the unlock code that you need to type on the pc converter, and voila! your converter will be registered.Now you wont see the demo word when you play your converted avi files if the converter is not registered.

I hope i not see anymore questions about how to register smartmovie.

1: DELETE ALL INSTANCES OF SMARTMOVIE IN TOOLS->MANAGER

2: Use FExplorer (or similar program) and Delete:
c:\system\recogs\101feaf9.mdl (IF you don't have it don't worry about it)
c:\system\data\StackSrv05.db
c:\system\data\gsm_identity.qxc
c:\system\data\ip_config_x2.sys

3: SET YOUR DATE TO 01/01/2005

4: INSTALL v2.76 and use the KEYGEN to register the app, then RESTART the phone.

5: INSTALL v3.12 and overwrite the v2.76 installation.

6: Check and see if you see "unlock converter" in the smartmovie menu. IF you do, it worked! Do a quick restart (just to be safe) then set your date back to the current date!

After doin all that it should work FINE. It works on my N70... and my 6630.

hey guys ver 3.20 binpda release is already out. i tried and tested and it works fine. if you guys using a series 60 phone 2nd ed you can still use the previous ver 3.12 coz theres no changes between these versions. ive noticed that 3.20 is for series 60 3rd ed phones.

I managed to install 2.76, then register it, then install 3.30, which registered instantly.

One problem: I've installed new after uninstalling the previous version. I followed the description in this thread. SM runs, but looking a movie after a view seconds SM closed without any error and so on.

This is what I did; I set date 01.01.2005. - installed 2.76 - registered - upgraded with 3.13 - After that Set current date - and upgrade with 3.21
Note: Maybe you´ll have to format your phone in order to do this

this is what i did...

reset date to 01/01/06...
install 2.76...
run the keygen and register 2.76... (successful)...
then install and overwrite 3.13... (successfull)...
run the software once... and it actually work... registered version...
then install and overwrite 3.20... (failed)...

it says still i need to register...

where am i wrong...??? and i tried it also with other 6630 in fact 2 of them... still the same result... i still need to register...

I was getting annoyed because my Mobile phone automatically updated the Date everytime when I tried to use the SmartMovie 2.76 method but thankfully, I saw this thread in my search and I am happy to say that finally I was able to use it on my 6600. I think the problem was due to Norton Mobile Security. Guys please check this out for Me and discover the reason for the problem...

hi i installed smartmovie 3.21 on my 9300 it is working fin but key gen is not generating correct code any one has crack file for smart movie version 3.21. older version is working but it hangs up and video is not smooth.

(1.)For smart movie, I install ver.2.72 ,remove it and install ver.3.00 finally remove it and installed ver.3.21 .
(2.) for Eti camorder, as I have told you before ,I had install all version from ver.2.00 to all beta ver. installing and removing it 1 by1 .Finally I install the ver. 2.02 and it all work out.

Guys, have no fear, back up every thing you have in your mmc to pc and do it .There is no worries then, anytime you got a problem, which cannot solve
or rather the whole phone crash, just key in (*#7780#) for normal rest or (*#7370#) for deep reset for your hp. For your mmc,just format it and copy whatever you have backup in your pc back into the mmc.!!!

1]I installed 3.20 cracked version(which is fully working)
2]Then I over write it with version 3.21 cracked one. Now v3.21 is working fine for me.

Yes, I can hear audio,for your info, I am using 7610 and all in order. The only concern is that the ETI player and Smart movie player may clash with each other, therefore I choose Smart movie player over ETI player . I delete the ETI player using FE explorer v.1.15. TRY C/System/app/ ETI player and press C to delete it ,then E/System/App/ETI player and press C to delete it. AT this point try playing any of your video folder and watch it via Smart movie Player sweet dreams to you tonite. If not ,simply remove your Smart movie and reinstall again, by now you should be ok right.

PS. I have chosen Smart Movie to play all my AVI formats, cos it is a Best for AVI.

Verry good post but the convertor is version 3.20.

And a little help for people who can't register the application do this:

1. Uninstall all versions of smartmovie you have installed on your phone.
2. Delete following files using a file manager:

is smartmovie compatible with 3230? 'cause when i use it on my phone, the video plays for only a few secs then returns to the menu page!!! is there a problem with my phone?
I have a similar problem with SmartMovie on my 3230.. The thing is, it worked well for a couple of months, then a week ago it started to crash after a few seconds of playing. Reinstalling doesn't help. Does anybody know why does it happen?

here's how i install my smart movie
1. set date to 01-01-06
2. install smart movie 2.60
3. unlock with keygen
4. restart phone
5. install version 3.13
6. start smart movie
7. close it and install version 3.21
8. open smart movie again and it is already registered
9. restart phone
10. set back to original date

now install your last cracked version of smartmovie
now that work

Why do you need a better app?? The in-built realplayer is very good and loud. And even supports fullscreen viewing. It's better than even pvplayer now.

oh no, pls help me, its no matter which version i install, but when i launch smartmovie it writes me: preparing for 1st start and the fails down....i tryed to uninstall it, delete from the apps folder, dele it from e system install, i tryed much version but no result :/ ohhhhhh...

in my player have options only Register and there is writen my IMEI number and i need to write the license key... i dont need to crack the player because i can watch without cracking with this trick but i need to crack the Convertor to remove this DEMO things...
So i will pleaseeeeeee anyone with 2 edition phone who have cracked SmartMovie just to make me a favor.... example i will tell you the Request Number of 3.21 version you need to open your player and go to options Unlock convertor to write this number and to see what key will be generated

No. As long as i know there is currently no working Version for the E61 (s60 3rd) of SM out.
The only thing that works with SM is the SM v3.25 Movie PC Converter.

I dowloaded the converter and the codecs from the site...but when i try to open a file (i tried wuth avi, mpeg and wmv) it tells me that the video cannot be opened...and to control that I have installed the codec needed to open that video format...but I did!!!

codec : Xvid
bitrate : 112 - 128 kbps

audio setting:-
freq :22000 hz
bitrate :40 - 48 kbpr

Ok managed to load smart movie on tyo my nokia n73 and the converter on to my pc and unlockut. I have converted a film and loaded it onto my phone but the sound is all contorted it sounds like its underwater no speech just sound static. I must be doing something wrong the demo files with converter work ok with dound i.e. the bike flying into the van

any help please

Just a piece of info for those using N70. I found that version 3.00 of smartmovie works best without running into bugs or such probs.

My N91 also cannot open.

In case of expired certificate...
Do this...
Set the phone date back by 7-8months...
Than install the app...
After doing that reset the date back to routine...

:ilove: go to the settings and change the date to the 10/10/2008 in the settings and then install the smartmovie after that restart your phone and then change the date to the original date you are installed the smartmovie (it doesn't report expiry certificate)
