Of course make sure you plug your jack into the right hole.. i presume.. NieFeng 13th June 2006, 10:12 alelasta, go to device manager to check if your sound driver was installed perperly? Of course make sure you plug your jack into the right hole.. i presume.. That is true, those holes really confusing, heh heh heh. That's why the colored one is better, green for front and black for rear. paul777 13th June 2006, 11:12 Need a little more information, what is the make and model number of you computer, or if custom built what is the motherboards make. Look again at device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers, expand and look for a listing that just gives sound, if we can identify the sound device we can get an updated driver. If you can't find this information download Belarc Advisor here [Only registered and activated users can see links] and post the findings after that go to this site [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) then put the serial number of your computer then press GO!.. scroll down and find MY SOUND DOWNLOADS download the file install the update.. pls post results..HOPE this helps..... banks 13th June 2006, 11:43 if drivers r okie, sound card is okie, eveything perfect, then there is slight problem. see the screenshot and u will get to know it. sometimes the Wave volume is down. at that point of time also the speakers wnt give the the required output given the fact that the main volume is up. so try this ,might work. i know its funny, but i have gone thru similar probblem when i bought a new speaker and later on i came to know that the volume was down :lol: NieFeng 13th June 2006, 12:57 It is a good thing that Windows Vista is going to help to solve this kind of fault finding thingy. Under Vista, the control panel will have a led bar that will jerk to longer bar if sound is played. So if there is no jerk when you play sound then definitely the audio driver has some problem. If got jerk but still no sound, then the problem is with the speakers.
