I did understand what you mean. The icons included in the White Theme is the default icons of the phone that you will install it too.

I'm not sure. Before, I was using Theme Studio 3.0. Now I'm using the Carbide Theme Creator 3.1. I dont know if there is an incompatibility issue between them but I'll try to check the settings.

Awww man. It's really hard when you don't have the phone anymore. And in the new theme creator, I can't really pinpoint the location of some of the parts of the theme.

Anyway, back to the drawing board. I'll edit it again and just post here if I was able to fix the problem.

Hey graysource great theme, however when you make a call or recieve a call the entire number screen goes white and cant make out who is calling or whether the number dialled is correct.I am sure you can change that and lots of ppl like can use the theme then. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Well, first, you have to download the Carbide Theme Creator from Nokia forum. Then, you should have a graphic edtitor software (like Photoshop or Photo Impact) where in you can make your designs and cut/resize your images. After that, you can just cut and paste your designs into the theme creator.

Can i ask u how to resize image exactly 176x208 for n70? i tried the photoshop but after typing 176x208 and after converting it i checked the details and i found out the the image is not 176x208 but 176x.... i cant remember.. what size of the original image do you prefer to to be resize to 176x208?

can you teach me step by step how to resize it correctly? first for example i downloaded a 1280x960 jpg image. What will i do next? i just want to convert it to 176x208 without changing its quality and without croping the image.

Normally when you resize an image with with big res into a smaller res, the image quality doesn't change much (if ratio is not changed). But if you try to fit a big res like 1280x960 to a 176x208, they quality may be good but the form distorts. In this case you really have to crop the image inorder for it to fit in a smaller res or to edit the image in some way to retain the image quality and form factor.

Now for resizing at Photshop CS2, just click on Image, then Image again. Now with the 1280x960, with the Constrain Proportions checked, change the 960H into 208H, then it will automatically change the width. In this case, into 277w.

Now, you have to crop so that you don't distort the image that you want to appear on your theme. Click on crop tool and indicate the dimensions above which is 176x208. Then draw it on your image then crop then save.

Thats it.

Grey can you teach me how to chnge the animated highlight( just want to cut the edge like your previous themes, batt and signal bars and the clock.. and what effect in photoshop did you use in you spiderman movie theme? the pic was like covered with a darker layer

Most of the time I just use the ones from the other themes since they're nice already. But when I design a new one, I use Adobe Illustrator.

The effects are not that simple to explain. Just experimented on some styles. And I used Photo Impact, not Photoshop. I only use Photoshop if I have to really detail some images.

Hey grey i want to ask you something not related to themes. Can bluetooth headsets such as jabra bt500v can be used in listening to music instead of ordinary headset? or for making and receiving calls only?

I'm not famillar with Jabra but when I had my N80, I was able to listen to music with the use of my bluetooth headset. But it was through searching for ringtones. So if you want to listen to music using with your bluetooth headset, I guess you can try playing them when you are customizing your ringtones.

You can use it to listen music as your ordinary cable hands-free, but the quality will be poor.

P990 users sure are happy for having a thememaker like you for them, hehehe...

man, been around several nokia and other phone retail shops over the weekend and sampled the N95... been really, really tempted to get 1 already... but, i have been successful in holding myself back a couple of days now, hehehe... since, you've alerted me about the E90, i've been scouring the web for info abt it and i must say, it's worth looking forward to... but damn, it should come out real soon else, i get suckered into getting an N95, hehehe...

btw, have you found any info confirming if the E90 will also support user-created themes? havent found any definite info about it although i assume it will bcoz it will be using S60 instead of the S80 older communicators used :)

I think it will support themes also. But I don't know what kind since its firmware is Symbian ver. 9.2, S60 3.1.

But I'm sure that there will be a theme editor for this.

Great Spider-Man theme! Makes me look so forward to the upcoming movie...

Slight problem with the theme on my N80_ the picture seems larger than the phone screen so half the clock (on the top left hand corner) is hidden. Hope you can rectify the problem.

Anyone else has this problem with the N80 version?

Always good to see the Gray man back in action. Comic themes always look cool on the phone..

elow gray!! did a screenshot of spiderman theme in N80. hope it'll help with hbk74's problem. The clock seems to have the slash/slice effect. is it really made to appear like this? same thing goes with the visual radio and music player icons.

yes the sunsetkid theme is for n70 also i really love the theme but th problem is that u cant see any number wen u make a call or even if there is an incoming call i have tried the theme on both n70 and n72 please repost the theme with rectifying the error plz................waitn for the repost of the themes............wherein i can see the numbers wen tere is a incoming or outgoing call

I used PhotoImpact for posting the pictures here but you can also use Photoshop.

For the themes, I use Carbide Theme Creator for Nokia.
