hi office experts,
i am planning to format my computer as it has been recently affected by some virus and no way to get rid of that...
but the problem for me is my mails and all settings in microsoft office. last time i exported all the files and setting but when i imorted back after reinstallation i found that so much data is missing and they are not organised in the correct manner...

this time i dont want that to happen...

so can some one tell me where all the files of microsoft office are located so that i can save those folders in my computer and paste them back after i complete my formatting....

dear candccom, i went through your thread and found that it was long and complicated process....thanx in any case...

but i found an easier way out...there are quite a few programs available now that helps in backing up outlook....
i got them and their serial number from the piratebay site...

but these programs cannot run for microsoft 2007 beta version that i installed... so in case i need to back up the office 2007 i will make use of the method that you have mentioned

Wow you are using Office 2007 and you want to back those up? It is too new and I really duno whether all the stuff is still the same place as with previous Office, the best if you can post your query in one of those Office 2007 Program Manager's blog.
