I own a HP Pavilion DV1000..
is there any parts i can upgrade to speed up the laptop?
Stuffs like graphic cards ? or processor speed ?..
like the way i do for PCs ?

I don't think you can up grade your video card...CPU yes.. Dv1000 is a centrino right?

Yes you can, unless your Centrino is already the highest speed. You can also try upgrading your memory RAM and I believe harddisk can also be upgraded, especially if your harddisk is one of those with a slow rpm.

Depends in what you need ,better performance? more hard disk space?
First of all what config do you have? Try upgrade RAM memory, try 1 GB if you have 512 MB , now hard disk are larger and faster...even for laptops, try to find one compatible with your laptop with 7200 RPM ,>120GB
