HandyClock have this function ~ amazingly jamieladc 6th June 2006, 15:07 Yes handyclock does have that, but to my knowledge it only works if you have your screensaver as the calednar - which drains your battery immensely - or it did when I used it anyway. See above for instructions of how to set it up, my N80 is right next to me and is autolocked via that feature. Flexamoria 6th June 2006, 15:12 Yes it does! Drain battery? I never notice it.....anyhow i charge it almost everyday :( Epetejinch 6th June 2006, 15:28 I don't know which autolock are you talking, this one locks the phone with lock code. But, I remember on 6680 I got an small program that always lock the keyboard after user specified seconds. Cheers! Thats why i say, there's no auto KEY lock built in N80.The one that stated is somehow like phone lock,it'll lock "user define"....and have to enter code to unlock it. As for Auto Key lock,it will lock for "user define" and if u wanna unlock, just press the 2 soft keys....straight forward w/o code.Only HandyClock has this. As for 6680,yes it has a symbian autolock program joolsca 6th June 2006, 17:59 Handy Weather and Handy clock both have settings to automatically lock the keypad..and NO, it does not drain your battery. xmen82 6th June 2006, 20:05 Easiest way, just pull slider out. When you close it , message will prompt whether you want to lock key or not - I always use this way gnixer 6th June 2006, 20:21 hey guys any idea if there is a setting for the active slide function ? Epetejinch 7th June 2006, 01:36 I also lock my phone when hiding the keyboard, it's faster than selecting it on turn on/off button. I hope to have a autolock prg defined by time for symbian 9.1! xmen82 7th June 2006, 04:04 Do you guys have this problem - when the keypad is lock, when a call comes in, at times the call is interrupted and gets cut off ?? chimpanzee 7th June 2006, 06:26 Easiest way, just pull slider out. When you close it , message will prompt whether you want to lock key or not - I always use this wayThe other way is to press the power button and select "Lock Keypad". Do you guys have this problem - when the keypad is lock, when a call comes in, at times the call is interrupted and gets cut off ??I have my N80 for over a month and I don't seem to have the problem that you have. When a call comes in, I will just hit the left soft key "Answer" to answer the phone. After that, The hit the Red "disconnect" key to disconnect and the fone will go back to its original lock stage. Do you usually slide out the keypad when you answer the fone? If you noticed, when you slide back the fone to cover the keypad, your call will get disconnected automatically. Is there something wrong with your slider? :ilove: chimpanzee 7th June 2006, 06:29 I also lock my phone when hiding the keyboard, it's faster than selecting it on turn on/off button. I hope to have a autolock prg defined by time for symbian 9.1!As others here has mentioned, Handy Clock has the autolock function in its program. Just get it from this forum and try it out. Like you have mentioned, I will also lock my fone when I slide the keypad back in the past. Now, I don't need to do it as I have set the autolock to 15 seconds. By the time I put away the fone, it will automatically lock and I don't have to worry about accidentally calling someone. Try it out, I think you will like it. :ilove: chimpanzee 7th June 2006, 06:31 hey guys any idea if there is a setting for the active slide function ?Not too sure what you are talking about? Are you saying is there a way it will autolock when you slide back the keypad? I am assuming that you are talking about N80? The best one! We'll have 2 wait until the author develops the 3rd gen of this app! kyputt 8th June 2006, 06:02 so i guess there isnt anyother suitable program for autokeylock except for handy clock? chimpanzee 8th June 2006, 06:19 but the fone it isn't lock after 15 sec,the minimum is 1 min (you must set in the tools of the fone -energy saver to the minimum 1 min)Ok, I see what you are saying now. Since under Tools->Setting->Phone->Display->Power Saver time-out it only allow a min. of 1 min setting. The Handy Clock program will have to wait for this 1 min. time-out before activating the calendar screensaver even if the Handy Clock autolock is set to 0 second. Not sure if there is a workaround to it. I guess for the moment, this is the only program we can use other than diligiently hit the 'yes' button when we slide back the fone. :ilove: poundku 8th June 2006, 09:26 Menu Tools>Settings>Security>Phone and Sim>Autolock Period>User Defined>input time scale for autolock.
