As far as i know the enhanched security of this 3rd edition doesn't allow applications to access the system folders. By doing so it is almost impossible to make a virus for this OS.
But I'm new to symbian (got my N91 less than a week ago), so hopfully I'm wrong (on the part of the explorer, not on the virus part!).

Hmm... Quickoffice is also having the same problem. always prompting memory full. needs to restart the phone. the phone seems to have a problem releasing RAM after using it and the only way to solve it is to restart the phone.

Reading files on a pdf reader like Adobe is a pain. Does anyone know of a program to convert pdf or doc files to prc files?

maybe this the answer of my problem while installing any explorer. I got certificate error message.

Too bad that there's no option to format the text within the screen. I think it's called Warp text...
Is there something like ol' good Repligo for s60v3?

The Adobe app is so-so.

It's not very good for readin small prints as the graphic is not smooth enough.

Any1 has got PDF+ for S60 3rd edition?

Hey,

I have Adobe pdf reader 1.5 installed on my Nokia N73 but it couldn't open a 2 Mb pdf file although I have over 43 Mb of empty space in the phone memory. What's the biggest file size anyone opened on N73???

Thanks

Hi,

I think we are all waiting for a stable version of Pdf+ for Symbian 9.1 to be released. At least we can now try this 2nd public beta version which is time limited and runs till 1 December 2006.

__________________________________________________ _____________
Pdf+ (for S60 3rd edition Smartphones) is a viewer for Adobe® Acrobat® files, also known as Portable Document Format (or PDF) files. This particular distribution is for the Nokia S60 3rd edition Smart phones, such as the Nokia E61, the Nokia E70 and the Nokia N80

You get all the functions you'd expect, such as displaying specific pages, searching, zooming, full screen mode and displaying and following bookmarks and links. Shortcuts give quick access to most functions. The built-in help text explains the use of the program in detail.

You can open password-protected files, and files encrypted with 40 and 128 bits Standard encryption. Pdf+ also remembers the last 10 files you have opened. You can save your favourite view settings, and you can select which font will be used for standard PDF fonts.

Pdf+ can display PDF documents in most languages. For displaying certain Simplified and Traditional Chinese documents you can install a plug-in. You can also print a document, either all the pages, the current page or a range of pages (not yet in the public beta).

Pdf+ is a native viewer. There is no need to convert a PDF document with your PC to a proprietary format, saving you much time, money and hassle. You can therefore send PDF documents using E-mail, Infrared and Bluetooth, and you can read PDF documents attached to E-mails or downloaded from the Web.

Yea pdf+ is always better than adobe.. but it doesn't have autoscroll Also it closes when you try to change page in fit-to-screen mode. There should be something like Qreader for pdf documents.. Hope a better reader comes soon:tonqe:
