Hey.. I don't actually remember where I found this, but it's tested on my N80 and it works fine. Just copy to your phone and install. When it asks you to register online just accept and it should register fine. It comes with an tool to convert jpg's into maps and instructions too.

IT is NOT S60 3rd edition, ot at least it is NOT working with Nokia E61.... anybody, I've been searching for this thing for a LONG time for 3rd edition, does anybody have it?

I installed it but THEN i see, that I can't load maps in the prog! It's useless!!! Totally useless!!!!
I have maps for Bulgaria /Sofia/, but I copied them on the card AND on the memory, and it still does not even allow me to browse for maps!

Map contains 2 files: *.ogf2(usually gif, jpg or bmp, to make it use prog ogf2tool.exe), and *.map(coordinates).
You must find map what you need(image of the map), run ogf2tool, convet image into ogf2 format. And colibrate map in destinatoins with your GPS. That's all. Imho it's simple.
P.S. I'm using Smartcom since 2004 n it's great.

hi, when i tried to register online as prompted, it says invalid serial number. prompts me to key-in the serial and would not continue proceed no matter wat serial i keyed. any advise?

This program used online check for lisence, im worry that ID was blacklisted :D

The popular Ozi maps u can find on the Internet is *.ozf2, u will need OziExplorer to convert them to *.bmp format, then convert those *.bmp to *.ogf2 ( which used by SmartCom ) by using ogf2tool.exe, copy to SmartCom map folder, calibrate the map with your GPS device --> Done :D

I apologise to all those who couldn't get it to work - I have no information about it, and I can't remember where I got it from. I just posted it here because I knew people were looking for an app like this and it installed and registered ok on my N80.

We have a gps community.... suggest you search for ogf maps or ozf maps.... on gps forums ;) or on Emule

I've had a look on Emule - I've found a London City Centre map in .jpg format. :)

Would be nice to have the whole of London - I'll keep looking.

man be sure - there ARE maps of almost every INCH and meter and so on, of the planet earth, in ogf format ;) you just have to search harder.
Search for the word "gps" in emule ;) this hint will make you HAPPY :)

befor a long time i find the same app but not cracked and i instal in my N80 also is very easy to make Maps..
the og exe that come with the apps is for this i will explain you how
Just find the map in internet that u need example if you need map of London then find some good map and after this you can conver the map with this exe and will be format og this mean you can use it with SmartComGPS is very easy befor when i have trial version i was made over 100maps but i delate them because was trial now will need to make new :)

these maps are terrible ! its only a jpeg image . i think who use this map to navigate in greece ....in addition the program is trial and i dont think that its the program that i will buy

Hi Hachenz, I Have Maps for South Africa riped of G*RMIN and then converted.
Converted maps are Cape Town, PE, JBAY, SA ROADS,
They all work well in emulation mode but a Btooth GPS is what is required.
There are a few out there but a bit to expencive at the moment.
Wish the maps would load into mem card and not the phone mem (n80)
Will upload when i have completed most the major cities.

I just bought a Globalsat BT-359 unit and it works great with my N80 but I’ve also tested it on an N70, it’ll work with any phone that supports a Bluetooth serial profile.

It’s a bit more expensive than some receivers out there at about Au$170 (ebay) but it’s well built and very small (about the same dimensions as a nano, just a bit thicker). Often I’m able to get an indoor fix and when I place it in the car often get 10 satellites and an accuracy of 6m. That’s without DGPS augmentation such as WAAS (cause we don’t have it in Aus).

I did a stack of research before buying it an there are just so many receivers out there. Have a look at the product page on the globalsat website and there are a few links to reviews of the BT359 and other receivers as well.
