note: this tweaks are not made by me, i just found it useful thats why im posting them here. i will update this as often as i can.. pls use reputation button if you like to thank me..
what is tweak?? tweak means to fine tune or adjust
Enable the creation of a password for the guest account
Notes: A computer with more than one user may be vulnerable to unauthorized people using the guest account. This is a nice way to password protect it.
Warnings: This is dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. I do not take responsibility for anything that you do to your computer that harms it or any files on it in any way.

How to do it:
Make sure that you are logged on as an administrator.
Make sure that the guest account is enabled.
Navigate to Start > Run (Click on Run).
In the input field, type in "cmd" and press enter.
Now type in "Net user guest password" and press enter.
Close command prompt (Click the X in the top right).
Navigate to Start > Control Panel (Click on Control Panel).
Click on "User Accounts".
Create a password for the guest account.
Follow the rest of the instructions for the user account and then exit.
How to check for and remove spyware
Notes: Spyware is the term for programs that are installed on your computer without your knowledge. They moniter your computer habits and then show appropriate ads. How to do it:

Install and run Ad-Aware. It is self explanitory.
Disable simple file-sharing
Notes: Although Windows does not share any main part of the hard drive, there are special folders that are shared by default. This is a quick way to disable sharing them.

How to do it:
Open Explorer (navigate to Start > Run and click on Run. At the prompt, type in "Explorer" and press enter.)
In the menu at the top, click on Tools and then click on "Folder Options".
Click on the "View" tab.
At the end of the list, you will find text that says "Use simple file sharing (recommended)" (It's under the Advanced Settings catagory).
Uncheck the box next to "Use simple file sharing (recommended)".
Click OK.

Notes: If you set a login password, you will also be able to use the screen-saver password feature.

NEVER write down a password and keep it near your computer. IE putting the password on a sticky note and keeping it below the mouse-pad.
Try to make your password a combination of words and number.
Avoid making your password a single word that could be found in a dictionary.
Avoid making your password the name of somebody famous.
Don't make passwords that you will easily forget.
Avoid storing passwords on your computer.Disable control panel

Navigate to the following key in the registry by clicking on the +'s next to the folders in the left pane.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer
Right-click a blank space in the right-hand pane and go to New > DWORD.
Name the new DWORD "NoControlPanel".
Double click the new DWORD.
For the value, enter "1" and click OK.
Close regedit.Encrypting Files using XP Professional
To encrypt a file using Win XP Pro, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, and Windows Explorer. Right click the file you want to encrypt and click Properties. Under the General tab, select the advanced button. Select Encrypt Contents to Secure Data checkbox and click OK. Click OK to close the file's Properties dialog box.
