Is it just me or anybody realize that the post count does not update accordingly? Is there a special rule before a post is counted? I have seen ppl post with post count 0 as well. So I believe this should not be just my problem. If there is some rule in getting post to be counted, can any admin or mod please kindly elaborate? Thanks.

BTW, this is a Great Site!:ilove:

Please enlighten me. I have read through the rules of posting before I made my first post. I have read it again when I find that the post count does not equate. There is no where in the rules section that state about how post is counted. Please don't assume that everybody don't read rules. I for one read them, and several times for that matter :-)

So please enlighten me, if the rules is in there (that state the post count thingy), please tell me which rule number and which statement. I might go there and read it all over again, but I might not have the time. So please kindly enlighten me. Something is also wrong about the rules layout or explaination if it needs someone to read it several times. I don't see any rules that state "word count more than 25 = relevant post, if not it is just gibberish and won't be counted".

Hi NieFeng.

I don't know if this has something to do with your worries or problem.

Sometimes, members notice that from an n amount of posts they supposedly made, they see that their posts decreased in number. For example, I, for one, remembered that I already posted 420+ posts. But recently, I notice that it decreased to 390+.

That was because the moderators do a periodic checking of threads to delete unwanted posts. If your post is one of them, your total number of posts will automatically decrease, too.

Hi AaronICK,

Thanks for your tip. Actually I have did a search for the post count problem to see if anybody encounter this kind of thing before. I have saw someone who complain about something that you said. But I don't think this scenario is similar to my case. Because if you search all post that are posted by me, you will see more than the 4 that this site is counting for me. That means that the posts are there and not deleted, they are just not counted for some funny reason. Moreover, for your scenario, that shouldn't be anyone with a post that show him/her having a post count of 0. It just doesn't make sense. Seems to me it is more like a bug.

::EDITED::
BTW, I can't believe I've read the forum rules again. Hahahahaha, there must be some thing that is more productive for me to do.

Hi, thanks for your explanation. I don't think this is stated in the rules for posting section, unless I am blind. But this is really better help than just "read this ...".

Finally I am enlightened!

::EDIT::
Finally. I have found my own answer as to where the forum state such rule. The world cup section states this in their section heading. For off-topic section, it is stated in one of the annoucement thread. For this User Problem and Support section, it is stated no where. I guess it don't pay to help other forumer. Well...

post count is disabled in world cup category, off topics category and forum suport category. this measure was decided by mega admin i-phone so it will stay as it is.
