candccom 13th June 2006, 09:05 Mostly virus infected. Start you pc in save mode and run updated antivirus program to check what virus infected and solve one by one.
gt_thegame 13th June 2006, 21:07 try scanning ur pc with a fully updated antivirus... first update it in safemode and then restart ur comp in normal mode, disconnect ur internet and then scan ur pc...
krazyeone 14th June 2006, 00:35 If all that doesn't work do not format your hard disk , instead insert Windows Xp CD , Press Enter to start the Windows Setup do not choose "To repair a Windows XP installation using the Recovery Console, press R",
Then Accept Licence Agreement
Select the XP installation you want to repair from the list and press R to start the repair.
After Windows will be repaired I sugest to make a Windows Update from Microsoft site

arnel 28th June 2006, 18:16 if you don't to format your hard drive, do a System Restore instead. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. I believe you're using an XP (?)...
krazyeone 28th June 2006, 20:05 This will work only if the system restore is active
eameam 30th June 2006, 04:56 disadvantage in peforming system restore some files will be deleted that might be important to you, If you really want to achieve the optimum speed just format your drive... This is the best way, then install antivirus programs that will help you get rid of viruses that causes decrease speed of your computer. Hope it will help...

ganesh_i83 9th July 2006, 21:18 some of the files have got corrupted.... this happens when u have not re installed windows for a long time. in the process installing and uninstalling programs and softwares and applications.... some files of windows do get corrupted. Reinstall win xp. no need to format............install it by overwriting the files.
