I am using Nokia 9500 Communicator, and on pc i am using windows XP Media Center Edition. When i installed PC Suite 6.6 version on it, iit installed properly but after some update when the pc suite came to update 6.8.22 version it removes my previous version of PC Suite and unable to update. It gives me the error (Attachment include). Then i try to install the 6.6 version again but the problem is same. Please help me to install pc suite.

try removing that key using regedit.

Or use TuneUp Utilities' Registry Cleaner. It will clean up all the mess from your registry. Then try reinstalling PC Suite :)

Thanks friends for the reply, i dont know how to edit the key. so i have tried Tuneup utility and it cleans all the registry, but now after cleaning the registry when i try to install pc site again, it gives me the same error. Now please tell me how to change the key.

uninstall pc suite and run TuneUp Utilities' Registry Cleaner reboot and re install pc suite

I had similar problem, with my nokia E61, I updated the software and it didnt recognise any phone attached, so I tried with before mentioned cleaner from nokia, still the problem existed, so I just went on and removed it manually from register and it worked.

I just went to Start>run..>you write "regedit" press "ok", then go to "edit" roll down menu, klick on "find..." then try to locate all the garbage with typing the word "nokia" in. It will show the first, but always check what you are removing, always just the line where you will see nokia, or nokia pc suite or similar, or the folder that contains it if you are shure that its made yust by PC Suite app.

you are just repeating the searching, by "find next" from "edit" menu...

then when you are done, reset and install pc suite again, but do not connect the phone before it ask you to, so you wont have another problem :)

Neither that Nokia registry cleaner software works nor that manually deleting the nokia registry solved my problem. The problem is not in Nokia registry there is problem in some other software registry. Please check it.

my firend... i had problem too, the same with you. i called to nokia service center, they said that PC cleaner will check this problem, after that Nokia pc working with out problem. do it....

I am facing the same problem i runned Pc suite cleaner and regedit(deleted all files belonging to nokia restarted my computer but still have the same problem.At home on windows 2000 it works probably i face this problem only with windows XP ofcorse

Yes I had the previous version but when I started to install the new version it deleted the previos version and now I can't even install any Pc suite version it gives me the error indicated on Page 1 of this thread:???:

Please check that you have uninstalled all the softwares connected with PC Suite, that is, Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver, Nokia PC Suite, PC Connectivity Solution and Windows Driver Package- Nokia Modem. After uninstalling you may remove registry entries. One good freeware for registry cleaning is AML Registry Cleaner. Go to 'scan' and click on 'fix' after the error lists are displayed. However always make a back-up of your previous registry entry (this is displayed when you open AML Registry Cleaner) just in case you have made a mistake. Reboot computer and reinstall latest version of PC Suite compatible to your phone. Don't connect your phone now. Open PC Suite. You should be able to see the list of options under Connection manager. Proceed by following the steps and connect phone when prompted.
