Description

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 2.0 is designed to provide theanti-virus protection of smartphones. The product offers the following functionality to users:
- interception and scan of all incoming objects, transferred
by means of wireless connections (infra-red port, Bluetooth),
EMS and MMS messages, during synchronization with a personal
computer and loading files through a browser;
- interception and scan of files, before their opening using
the smartphone interface;
- interception and scan of programs, before their installation
using the smartphone interface;
- on-demand or scheduled scan of the smartphone's file system for viruses or other malicious programs;
- scan of hidden and system folders;
- possibility to scan separate folders and files;
- an option to scan the smartphone’s ROM;
- an option to unpack and scan the content of Sis-archives, and also ZIP-archives for smartphones working under Symbian OS version 7.0s or higher;
- display of the information on anti-virus databases;
- possibility to request information about the detected viruses;
- possibility to move infected files to Quarantine;
- display of the real-time protection mode;
- on-demand or scheduled update of anti-virus databases via GPRS-Internet, WAP, from a local folder or through the smartphone's web-browser;
- possibility to set up a schedule for tasks performed by
the product;
- the user is provided with built-in help;
- possibility to intercept unwanted SMS and MMS messages;
- possibility to create "Black" and "White" lists of SMS and
MMS senders;

The product has a user-friendly and intuitive user interface.

The product has been tested on the following hardware configurations:

• Nokia: 3230, 3600, 3620, 3650, 3660, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, N70, N90, 7610, 7650, N-Gage, NGage-QD.

Note: the product is available in several versions: one distribution package
- for Symbian OS 6.1, Series 60 UI

This AV application seems better than symantec AV as it can select which folder to be scanned. Symantec takes about 2 1/2 hour to completely scanning my phone.

one question please. Can we update the virus definitions? If it can't, I'll have to stick to Symentec as the updates can be found in this forum...

Tip: delete the files ksdatarec.mdl and kstarter.mdl from /system/recogs to stop it auto-running at start up :D

id like to know where is the best place to install this on phone mem or in mmc? i tried it on phone memory it works fine however it takes 400kb of my ram. pls suggest

i've installed this av on my N70, its work great!! online update also work, perfect very fast when updating. the best antivirus for my N70..

right..no alpha , beta and trials here... only cracked...
os9.1 may be considered for time being exception as not many app..locked

test versions are allowed. Only demo is not. Beta/alpha is test version which although possibly time limited is not full version of limited function until purchase. Thread may remain open. Dmoe
