These are all purchased Nokia S40v2 128x160 java games.
If a mod is around let us please get a 128x160 sticky thread as this resolution has no home thread for nokias. If you enjoy these post your 128x160 nokia games and contribute, also repute me so I see that you want more games if you benefitted from them.
There are a few games that don't work (I tested them in the phone and 2 different emulators).
For 6101:
Chessmaster, Tetris, Midnight Pool, Splinter Cell CT.
(pity... 128x160 Gameloft games are almost a myth)
The rest works fine.
Well... not all I do is complain. Here's a 128x160 game that works on both phones.
"Asterix and the Vikings"
148569
Hope the thread goes sticky so we can post more 128x160 games...
If you find any from Gameloft please post them.

hello
there are few things.
1: threre is just one page in Nokia (S40) Apps & Games section, so there is no need to be sticky as it will not go on next page.
2: there is only 20 view of page u created, so when it catch huge view and if we have more pages in this category it will be sticky.
so enjoy ur stay here,
Jawad

This is what I use to test the games:
Nokia 6101 S40 V2 (a real phone)
Ngage Cool Emulator
S40 DP 2.0 SDK 1.1 (the original Nokia SDK emulator for S40 phones)
If you bought the Gameloft games perhaps they got corrupted when you transfered them from the phone to the PC. What program do you use? Some programs don't work well when you try to extract the games.
Try them with an emulator before you re-upload them to be sure. :supz:

Well it wouldnt be the jad files as all phones dont need them and many other games I've put on my phone didnt have them. I tried retransfering with mobiMB which worked for all the other games I've transfered, but the Gameloft games are still corrupt.
If anyone knows about Gameloft Jar file protection I have a in-depth thread explaining the situation here:

Your phone might has java problem, I mean your phone doesn't support java anymore.
Shin_Akuma

The problem is not with the phone. I tested the games using 2 emulators.
6111 and 6101 are java enabled phones. besides "jcautela" can run the games in his phone, he just can't download them from the phone to the PC without getting a corrupted version of the games.
This is a problem with mobiMB or protected .jar files.
(I just hope someone knows about this and has a solution)
meanwhile, here are two more s40 v2 128x160 games.
Thanks for helping out and keeping this thread going, by the way I re-rared and re-up'ed the 6111 rar file without the 3d pool so you can edit that out of your post now. Also I tested out your games and they played smooth and fullscreen, and thats always a good thing.
*Also new realization: Do you think that T-mobile might be protecting those Gameloft games by embedding my IMEI/phone number/temp wap address in the .jar file?
Reasoning:
Other Gameloft games for other phone models through other carriers were fine when i had them on the pc and my phone. And plus I really dont think Gameloft would be able to do something like that as they don't know the specific phone model like t-mobile does when you purchase a game.
So these Gameloft games might need a patch, or hex-edit etc to remove a check in the jar file, or maybe these need to be transfered different than the rest. Any ideas please reply or pm me.

About the Mission Impossible III game, the .JAR file is 228 kb and as far as I know the series 40 version 2, only supports games up to 166 kb...
So either my 6101 can't hold it, or the game is for s40 v3 phones.
I just wanted to know.

The game is SE K500 version, K500 have a similar screen size 128 x 160.
No harm of trying the game as I understand using Mobimb to upload game to
your phone doesnt restrict the size. ( PC suite cannot) and some of the game
from K500 play well in N6111. More gameloft screen with this size can be found at [Only registered and activated users can see links]

Nokia series 40v2 will not run java files over 166Kb, some phone models vary their limits but will not be over the 166 limit. This is for K500 but in this case cannot be run on any "Nokia S40v2" phone no matter the res because of its size.
Lets keep these games under 166Kb or else they're not going to work on Nokia S40v2 phones hence the thread title.

Your phone is series 40, version 1. So these games are too advanced for your model.
