I think the difference between lofi and hifi are bandwidth/cpu usage.

6th July 2006, 10:31
which is more reliable?? hifi or lofi for 3250.. does it mean the hifi means more advantages in speed, but it seems there's no option for saving page using opera 2.0..

6th July 2006, 11:14
mates, mates...
lofi is for MIDP-1 phones (veeery old)
hifi is for MIDP-2 phones like all S60 v3 for example
So enjoy the hifi version, you don't need the other one.

This is a very very good browser although i downloaded my own version directly to my phone from the mini website..i never use my opera 8.6 again, i use mini because the pages load very fast using my wifi connection compared to the 8.6 opera..and i never get disconnected and get insufficient memory using the mini unlike the latter. I am using mini now typing in this forum hehe :)

(I'm using a Nokia E70 and I'm very happy with it!)

Can anyone pls reply to the UNABLE TO INSTALL PROBLEM?

Maybe it's the same thing you have to do when installing some other applications:
Go to ur application installer, go to options, then settings and do the "accept all".

It's working for me so hard to test... hehehe...

... Does the official trial version work? If not - use operas official support site...

If you want help - give info of what you tried doing solving the problem... not easy trying helping a lamer

Probably not using the correct version...
try pointing your wap browser to mini.opera.com and the correct one for N80 should install.
Also make sure that the settings on your phone allow installation of all software (certified and not)

OK - Have you tried the WAP browser, not the web browser. It' called "Services" in english setups. Fire it up,as mentioned above, and head to http://mini.opera.com and you should be good to go.

...and remember to choose the hifi version...

Ohh - nice to hear it's working... finally...

I really dont know if it's any difference... I did install the version in this forum and If I go into Help-> About ...then it don't say anything about trial version. It tells:
Opera mini hifi woodland v. 2.0.4509.20060704

and as I said... nothing about trial or registered version...

How about your "official" version?

warhunter
5th September 2006, 17:14
lol it says the same thing no trial no registered no nothing

vacation4e

lol it says the same thing no trial no registered no nothing
OK - then we're in the same boat I think... I will uninstall my version and go for the official one instead... feels moore secure :supz:
I thougt this forum benned upload of trial versions but maybe not - at least sometimes... or?

It's a FREE DOWNLOAD. Just go to Opera site (www.opera.com)

The one posted here was just downloaded from official website (same file signature) so they are exactly the same.

Better anyway to go to officiand al website since you always get the latest version as soon as it's avalilable and you can choose the language you like.
Beware that some localised versions have some sort of "sponsorship" (like US and DE ones). Mainly it's a in the form of bookmarks (of sponsor) that you can't delete :-(

Have downloaded the official version from Opera's website and am running it on my Nokia N80. You should choose to download the international version though if you want complete control over which bookmarks you can and can't delete. See this thread (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=148621) I found for more information on Opera's official support forum. Cheers.
