What version have you downloaded? arafat's autocad? I think the files are all in archive. so extract first the file inside the archives. the extracted file should be self-installing. i have my own autocadcd. i haven't tried them yet so i really can't say how. same goes with vlad87 ebooks.

Kabayan, i'm looking 4 autodesk autosketch tutorial or any training cd.My job as QC/NDT Inspector involves making a technical drawing as part of reporting. Although drawing is only a minor part of my job, i find it 2 be useful & add'l + on my part

Also, would u recommend any cad software & training cd w/c deals mainly on Oil & Gas Structures such as platform, jackets, column & beams, piping & other structural part.

I for one would recommend Archicad , follow by Revit , Architecural Desktop , Allplan the Vectorworks Architect in that order.
Our firm uses Archicad extensively in all our projects for design and documentation, but uses photoshop for touchups etc...

here's a challenge for you... 20/20 design w/ key...
it's the kitchen design program used by certain "big box" retail home improvement stores to design kitchens for their customers... get me this, and i will serious ly be impressed.....:ilove: :prayer: :)

Autocad because designing does not stop at architectural drawings only. Many softwares recognizes acad.dwg for further work !!

man do you have any autocad 2006 for architects? the 2005 version is mostly 3d. 2004 version is also ok.
