Hey all! I'm starting my thread to post photos now. I HIGHLY encourage anyone else to go right ahead and start your own thread as well and post pics! Travel photos, adventure photos, vacation photos, nature photos, etc.. Anything you want as long as they are not obscene (no nudity) and they are your own photos. Create your own thread and post all your photos in that thread. Please use an external host such as imageshack and embed them into your posts. Have fun!

Here are photos from a recent climb I did. The mountain is called "Mt Hood" in Oregon, USA. It's 11,240 ft high and my friend and I climbed to the top.

Here it is from the top of another mountain I climbed. (Mt Defiance)

Here is a pic of my buddy and I at the top, I'm in the red jacket.

Here's pic to the North of mountains in Washington. Left to right; Mt St Helens, Mt Ranier and Mt Adams.

Here's a very surreal pic. It's the shadow of the mountain cast down the valley as the sun was rising. This pic is not doctored in any way!

Here's a South view from the top where you can see Mt Jefferson in the background. Behind that is a trio of mountains called the Three Sisters.

This is a pic of the final ascent. You can go multiple ways. This route goes thru the Pearly Gates. It has a rather large cravas in front of it. (sulfer vent)

We climbed this route off to the left which was near verticle at the top. Very scetchy!!

There is a trail that also circumnavigates Mt Hood called the "Timberline Trail." It's 41 miles long, 12,000 ft elevation gained and lost over the course of the trail, 14 river crossings. It's quite brutal and it's said it takes 4 to 5 days to do the trail. We did it in 16 hours! HA!!!

This is myself standing on the West face on top of Gnarl Ridge.

This is at the same spot looking South down the valley

Here I am on the West face

Just past that are some falls called "Ramona Falls"

Here I am at a recent practice burn. I did have to remove my fire departments name and logo off my pics for personal reasons.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Just a shot with myself out in front.

Here's a pic of a natural lake near the top called Warren Lake. It's only means of filling is with rain water. It's home to a very rare breed of salamanders.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Here's me doing a little free climbing near the top.

This mountain is called Wind Mountain. We have to free climb the face to reach the top. One slip and it's all over!

Just me doing some more scrambling.

And the view from the top!

@ subway; Thank you very much, I like here. You can't really say that about living in the wrong place. Every place is beautiful in their own right! :)

@ stallone1Ū; Haha, well Augspurger Mtn really isn't that heard of a climb. It was just really crappy when we climbed it!

@ teknik; That's what I live for! I like free climbing, when I'm done, it feels really good. Very exhilarating.

@ TaI; Thanks sir! I live in a state that gets it's fair share of rain. But the trade off is excellent summers and green beauty. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

@ Blue_ray; Fantastic! Make sure to stop by so we can exchange theme secrets! ;)

And a few more random pics;

This is at a farm about 10 miles away from me. They always have a big pumpkin patch there where you can pick your own. It's beautiful in the fall.

This is a random sunset from right near my home. I live extremely close to a river called the Columbia River.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

This is a beach on the Columbia where lots of people windsurf and kite board. I took this just a couple days ago.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

I also live about 2 hours from the coast, I will be heading there this weekend and will have some more pics. This is the Newport Bay Bridge.
