I have got serious problem in my pc.yesterday i was listning songs and suddenly my pc got stuck and power off looking like this and monitor screen display you are in power save mode something like that then i open up my pc then check it and hard disk was not running i check the ribon cables but did not but now when i plug ribon cable to the hard drive hard drive did not work looking like dead when i disconnect the ribon cable from the hard drive hard drive start.but monitor still display the message same.i connect my hard drive another pc it is working fine. it problem in power supply?????or is it problem in my mother board???where the problem plz tell me am waiting your answers.

not too sure if i understand your problem. My first idea was power supply.. please check it first..

hmm it's mean i have to buy new power supply is it all power supplies have same voltages or i have to buy power supply by saying the voltages or give me suggestion about power supply i also thought that may be it's problem of power suplly.can i connect my pc with compaq pc power supply because i have compaq pc also.can i exchange the power supply with my compaq pc give me some suggestions more about it.thanks for the help candccom.

yup, the voltage will be the same, the only different is the power output, which is watt. The higher the actual output power the better, which it can supply more power to all hardware. So, you can actually swap the power supply to test.
