Does anyone know if it is possible and/or how difficult it would be to upgrade a graphics card on a notebook??

I have searched online but don't seem to be able to find any info on them. Not sure if it's possible or not, but thought I would ask as someone here is bound to know!

Some notebooks have separated graphics card- like mobile radeon x300 (with it's own 128 megs of memmory, or so) and higher series- x600, x700, and those "four-digits-in-name" ones. Then You can replace such graphics card, but I'm pretty sure, that it is still tough process. Those who has integrated graphics (like all intel stuff- i950GM, i945GM, i915, and so on, and so on) and INTEGRATED, and not changable. Even if destroyed, rather whole motherboard is replaced in service, than new chip applied.
Cheers.

Yea christ i reckon a card designed to go into a notebook would be a lot more expensive than one for a desktop, might be worth your while just upgrading the whole notebook :)

I think these day will come very soon, but not because of the environment issue, but the compatitiveness..
