What is Notebook Hardware Control (NHC)?

With Notebook Hardware Control you can easily control the hardware components of your Notebook (AMD and Intel). Notebook Hardware Control helps you to:

- prolong the battery lifetime and cool down the system with CPU Voltage Control and ATI Clock Control.
- full processor speed control with custom dynamic switching and CPU Speed Control (CPU policy)
- monitor the battery charge level and system temperature.
- control and monitor the Hard Drive with S.M.A.R.T management, acoustic & advanced power management and Hard Drive temperature monitoring.
- reduce noise with Notebook FAN Control (not for all Notebooks).

Info: Notebook Hardware Control works on all Notebooks (AMD and Intel).
Some features are only available on newer Pentium CPU's

How to test a laptop or a desktop computer memory modules.
A lot of laptop and desktop computer problems are caused by a failed memory or a failing memory module. As a laptop repair technician I test memory modules every time I get a laptop for repair. I have tried many different memory testing utilities but finally I stopped on Memtest 86+. So far it is one of the best free memory test utilities and I use it everyday. You can download this utility on Memtest 86+ homepage.

To test your memory modules you have to do next:

download Memtest 86+.
Choose Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip) if you want to burn it on CD.
Choose Download - Pre-Compiled package for Floppy (DOS - Win) if you want to place the utility on a floppy disk. I usually use CD because most computers have a CD drive and it’s much faster to start the test from a CD disc.

Change the boot order on your computer to boot from a floppy drive or from a CD/DVD drive.
Insert the floppy disk or the CD disc with Memtest 86+ into the computer.
Start the computer.
If you did everything right, you computer will start from the floppy or the CD and the memory testing utility will start automatically.

I usually allow a memory module pass the test 4-5 times. I’ve seen many times that a failing memory doesn’t fail the test on the firs pass and then fails on the second or third pass.

If your memory failed the test you will see red error messages.

i have problem with my ibm thinkpad (Pentium III). the display looks like a negative film, i already send it to the service center but they can't solve my problem. anyone in this forum who knows the solve of my problem please give me a trick to repair it.......thanx be 4

i got a problem with my thinkpad again. now my thinkpad sometimes can't on and it's buttering me 4 sure. before i decide to get a new one, can anyone in this forum tell me what my problem is cause i already sent it to service center and they don't know the problem either.

sorry to hear about that.. need to clarify, can the notebook be on using external power without the battery?

i already try that but it's has a same problem sometimes on sometimes not so i decide to get a new one:). 4 now i buy Satelite m50 by Tosibha cause they has a lot off servis center in here...so if i got a problem with it more easier to me to repair cause that tipe is very familier in my country.

I have a Compaq presario M2000 series laptop , nad the battery life is hardly 15 minutes or so ..., is there any way i could improve the battery life or should i replace it with a new battery ...experts please advice..........

is your lap top brand new or old already? If brand new then get back for warranty. If more than 2 yrs then u may refil or replace your battery. There is other method to revorke your battery but is not recommended. BR.

I have a compaq presari 700 notebook. I am facing problem with my LCD. It keeps on lining, white, blue, red, yellow. some times black and white too. I check the cable continuity it is ok.but still facing the problem. when I connect external LCD to VGA port..it works very fine..but my internal LCD still has the same problem. pliz friends if u have any solution regarding this problem, pliz send me as soon as possible. thanks in advance.

My HP DV2098ea is quite new just got it last October 06, but the dvd-rewriter drive is a bit moody. Sometimes it's easy in opening but sometimes it just does not want to read what's inside.

It's an LG laptop drive LG GSA4084N with KQ09 firmware.

Don't mind allow me to ask the question:why we have to testing our pc memory module?if failed,the messages prompted.it mean that the pc was going to have the problem?hopefully i'll get the answer replied from you.regards.
