Just start you phone without mem card, than insert it (still turn on) it will able mass storage mode, delete folder and restart it.

No need to 'make' font', just put arial.ttf into phone, searc forum for instructions, U can find it in several threads.

Hello guys...here is something that i found out: i got nokia e50 (6.27.1.0 symb vers) and this applies i think for n80 3.* and 4.* and other symbian versions:

1. There are 2 types o files (in Z:\resource\fonts) depending on the symbian software...i think that those of you who has 4.+ has 3 files: 2x *.ccc (S60SC.ccc & S60TCHK.ccc on my e50) and S60ZDIGI.ttf. If you want to change ur font u have to:

a. take 2 TrueType fonts (normal & bold - the bold is not displayed nice on my phone) or just one normal TrueType font and rename it/them to S60SC.ccc and S60TCHK.ccc.
b. connect with cable to "data transfer" and transfer the 3 files to the phone, on your memorycard (\resource\fonts - create the fonts folder).
c. turn off/on the phone - voila :D
d. to remove it, turn off the phone, take out the memory card, turn on the phone, insert the card, connect phone via "data transfer" and delete the files on the \resource\fonts - you`re done !

2. One of my friends has a 3250 and is a 3.x version of symbian and it works exactly as some other guys already explained in this thread.

Now that your phone has been rid of any previous font installations the process is the same as if you have not previously installed fonts.

1. install the font of your choice (you only get one choice, after that you have to repeat the process as mentioned above)
2. DONT RESTART YOUR PHONE, unplug your data cable and plug it back in but this time select 'mass storage device' rather than pc suite.
3. once you have done this open up the mass storage device in my computer, go into the resource folder (it may be hidden so apply 'view hidden files' under folder options) then go into the fonts folder.
4. here are the fonts you installed, but they won't work for N73 just like this because their named wrong.
5. firstly delete the file that has 'digi' in the name
6. find the font file that is is the 'semi bold' one and rename it nssb60
7. find the font that is the regular one, (no bold no nothing) and rename it nosnr60
8. find the font file that it the 'title SmBd' or title semi bold, and rename it nstsb60
9. delete any other font files in this folder
10. appropriately disconnect the data cable
11. reboot your phone
WAALAAA you have brand new font installed on your phone

please tell me how you do as i interested, i spent hours and hours and hours to make this work, so it will make me proud if it works for others, Thanks,

How to change font to another (nokia n73)

1.Switch off your phone
2.Pull out memory card
3.Use card reader and go to resource\fonts
4.Replace 3 files of your font with another 3 files (another font) whith same names
5.Plug your card back in to your phone
6.Switch on the phone

The first font used by me was RadioSpase and now I change a fonts when I want without any format .

i got my font change when i update my three-two-fifty into v.04.14, almost like the same with the oldie, but more bold! a good one, and not risky my system phone

whats the use of FONT2.sis?? whats the difference between font1.sis and font2.sis ... And by the way I tried font1.sis on my N73 and it worked fine!! but the fonts are small on the menu and they are like sticked to each other, that makes it unreadable!! and the screensave shows the date fine, but the time is corrupted oke, thats my review of it thanx!! Check ur z:\resource\fonts to see if the files u name in e:\ is the same as the files in Z: ( Diff models of fones have diff name files in ur z: rom. )

Btw using harrington on my n80ie looks great ^^ Awsome job by those font makers ! Only setbacks now is chinese fonts arent recognise in harrington so im thinking if its possible that only harrington cant support chinese at all or every other created fonts too ?

I installed font1 onto my N80 firmware V 4.0623.0.42 about 3 days ago, I restarted my phone about 7 or 8 times but no joy, then today I switched my phone off and back on and hey presto new font. My phone has been playing up lately, I think my memory card needs formatted so the font working could be due to a software glitch on the phone. I've just tried changing to another font but so far again no joy, I'll give it 3 or 4 days though lol. :)


Edit: New font applied fine after 2 or 3 restarts.

I needs original unicode fonts of n3250, file type: *.ttf.

it`s not working coz it is made for e61 not n80, i think that you have to change family name of the font, search ipmart for instructions.

I tried to load this on my N73 but it wouldn't work.... I had so much trouble removing it even when using a card reader.... Even after removal i had software issues... So i had to do a software update again... All working fine again now.....

After bit of roaming through web and small experiment I have found solution for it. It works 100%.

Listen, I wanted to format my phone too, but i need the thing that saved on the phone. And if i make a Backup it will save the Path and the font it self...

with n70 if you installed a different font and you want to remove, you jest need to go tho the folder of the font c\system\font and change the neme of the font folder even if it is in use..... i thought taht by chance was the same

Apparently,but they dont work on mine!

I have a N93 and there is no way to rename nor delete the fonts folder that is located in z:\resource\fonts as it is located no where else on the phone
I have tried several different file managers such as Y-Browser, SysExplorer, and X-plore as well as several different self install font sis packs but no luck and since z is located on the phones memory there is no way that I know of to do that via windows or app file explorer. If anyone knows how to change the fonts on my N93 please give me the know.

If your firmware is APAC then rename the fonts to

1. nosnr60.ttf to nosnr60.ccc
2. nssb60.ttf to nssb60.ccc
3. nstsb60.ttf to nstsb60.ccc

to remove the fonts simply switch off your cell remove the memory card and delete the fonts folder in e:\resources\fonts using a memory card reader and then reinsert the card and switch on the cell.. The original fonts will be back.. Enjoy

I love unlocker. Its the best. Its a pc app. Well if you cant find unlocker just open my computer and click on tools>folder option>view> and uncheck "hide extentions for known file types and then click on ok. Now you will be able to see if its a .ttf or .ccc etc and you can change them as well. :)

Thanks for the info this helped me get it working on my N93. Of course on the N93 all I had to do was rename the downloaded .ttf files to the same name as the ones on the z: drive then put them on the mem card as you stated and I kind of just used the size of the files to help in selecting the fonts that I should rename...anyway thanx again for the accurate info.

i have an e61 with new firmware and when i use black lucida the calendar entries and date nor folder titles change to the new font although everyhting else does.

Hey all you have to do is make a dir on your mem stick in the resource dir called fonts ie: x:\resource\fonts
x:\ being the drive letter of your mem stick that you have put in your mem stick reader on your computer. Alternatively you can use y-browser and make a folder called fonts in the resource folder of your mem stick. Next take the true type font of your choice x.ttf and make 3 more copies of it and rename them the following:

NOSNRS60.ttf
NOSSBS60.ttf
NOTSBS60.ttf
S60ZDIGI.ttf

Then put them in the dir you just made on your mem stick ie x:\resource\fonts. Reboot phone and that should work. Make sure you use fonts that are well made and small otherwise if they are too large they won't look right and if they are too grainy you won't be able to read them. This worked on my N93 with the newest firmware

I didnt quite understand. You want to add fonts just for the application Papyrus or on the phone?? Lemme know maybe i can help you. :)

Anybody experience any slowdowns when using fonts from their memory cards? For instance, on my E62 it takes about 10 seconds to open my address book where before it only took maybe 3 seconds. Is there any way to speed it up?

what fonts are you using?
it should not be a problems when opening the address book..
i have 625 contacts, and it tooks only 2,5 sec to open at the 1st time..
my firmware was v.2.
but i now i have upgraded to v.3, even faster than v.2

ps: i changed my fonts frequently

hello everyone.. i'm a newbie here. could anyone pls help me remove the fonts? actually, i installed it on my n80IE and nothing happened... now im trying to remove it by following the steps posted here.. i already deleted the fonts1 folder on e:/resource.. then when i checked it on the apps manager, the hellowordbasic is still installed.. i removed it successfully but when i rebooted my fone.. when i checked on the apps manager again.. it left a file a0000017b and it says its not installed.. it cannot be installed or be deleted.. what should i do?.. btw, i installed it on miniSD... pls help.. thank you..

Assuming that you have installed the fonts on your memory card put your cell off. Using a memory card reader delete the folder e:\resources\fonts and then put the memory card back in the phone and restart it. All done. your fonts will be removed and the original one will be back. :)

Take the memcard out of the phone and turn it off then back on... The default fonts will reappear. Put the memory card back in and you'll now be able to use MASS STORAGE to delete the fonts..

No it wont leave a file a0001232.sis in your app manager. Just use mass storage. to do that switch off your phone remove the memory card and then turn it back on and then insert your memory card. Then you can access it using mass storage. Just like the above post says. :) Enjoy

u can use ur phone in mass storage

just remove the memory card. restart the phone. insert the memory card again. then connect and use mass storage as usual :)

I've already installed font in SIS file in my N73ME. I found in E:/resource/fonts as below
aDigi.ttf
aSansB.ttf
aSansSB.ttf
aSansTSB.ttf
aSans.ttf

and Z:/resource/fonts as below
S60SNRb.ttf
S60ZDIGI.ttf

I've already copied 3 files (nssb60.ttf , nosnr60.ttf , nstsb60.ttf ) in E:/resource/fonts and restart my phone. The font is the same.( no change )
Why ? Please help me, I would like to change it to pencil font for N73.

I have a nokia 3250 (chinese-english) and I can't get to see pages encoded on GB2312-80 and traditional Chinese big5 and I can't input both Simplified and Traditional Chinese in UTF8 encoding in the opera browser. I tried my own browser and nothing so I suppose is a font problem. anywhere where I can find this fonts? or perhaps any chinese input app? ideas appreciated.

this fonts are for s60 3rd edition phone...so 7610 not supported... ;)

i`ve just tried them on my N93i, looks nice but in menu it`s a litlle bit unreadable..

1st. Install FontRouter application to drive E ( memory card ) in your phone but before install you need singe application.
Go singe application [Only registered and activated users can see links] .
You can download application via download link from your email.
Application no interface,it's hidden.

2nd. Turn off phone and remove memeory card, insert memeory card in cardreader.

3rd. Go to My computer/ memory card (Removable Disk)/ Data folder/ Fonts folder, copy file font to fonts folder. Insert memory card in your phone and turn on.

Do about step 1-2 same How to zoom font,you need to change the parameter 1 to 0.

1 means on,0 means off.

Sorry mate i don't create or edit font if you need more font,

go here : [Only registered and activated users can see links]

and font on N73 pic is original font on phone.

Reduce the size of font you look at How to zoom font .

You don't remove font if FontRouter app remain installation on phone,
but you can change font by do about step 2-3 in How to install,
just copy new font and delete old font in Fonts folder.

hey man...here is what you do.

remove memory card from phone

switch off your phone

power it back on

insert your memory card

using explore or whatever it is you use,go to your E:\RESOURCES\FONTS

and delete the fonts....

well, N91 acctually doesn`t have any memory card, it has an built in HDD, so there`s no way to remove it, i`ve heard that if you turn N91 on without back cover the HDD id turned off, so

turn it off, remove the back cover and turn it on, place the back cover on again and connect to pc using mass storage, then you should be able to accers resources/fonts on your hard drive

Edit: I don't know if u use FontRouter...

Mmm... Rename FontRouter.ini FontRouter.ni (eliminate the "i" or a letter you want). Ignore the error message. Turn cell off and then on. You will have default fonts back.
To turn on special font rename the file .ini again.
