It's impossible! I dont enter in HDD because PC doesnot recognize HDD of the phone. When I try to access to HDD by PC, the system respond there is an apllication that busy HDD. Impossible to format from phone for identical reason.

Format HDD succeed!
Fortunately I have formatted internal HDD and to remove font system from my N91.
With N91, my only solution is: Nokia Phoenix Service (that I use to flash my smartphone).

Connect the phone to PC by USB cable, set "PC suite" mode on phone and enter in Nokia Phoenix, then press CTRL-R to recognize device connected. Then, before you must check "Change with Reset" ceckbox and choose "Test Mode" in above side.
The phone turn-on in Test mode and u must go to menu PRODUCT--> FILE SYSTEM FORMAT. In the new box that appears, you Select in "File system"
"Symbian APE" and in drive name the disk unit (in my case E:). In type is automatically set default value MMC (see picture). Press START button to init formatting.

You must have Phoenix 2006 cracked (without dongle). Then set by Phoenix 2006 in Test mode with restart and then you can to procede to format file system. Tomorrow I put necessary file and steps on my website with links where you find Nokia Phoenix 2006, crack, diego, Nokia connection cable, instruction in italian language.

Ok don't worry! There is the system to format by Phoenix Service

Here my Screenies....much thx for the Font. Very nice.

I've replaced my normally Theme, because its my girl without any clothes :)
I know you like it, but she is not amused when I post her Pic. But at first in this Thread the Font is important.

i can't seem to make the fonts work on my N80.

i sent the font1.sis to my N80 via bluetooth...

installed it on my memory card... it prompted to install "HelloWorldBasic"...

is that the real name of the font1.sis?

anyway, i proceeded to install and can see it in my App Manager...

i restarted my N80 but, the fonts did not take effect :???:

why :???:

did i miss something???

i can see the following files in my E:\Resource\fonts

f1s60snrb.ttf
f1s60snr.ttf
f1s60ssb.ttf
f1s60tsb.ttf
f1s60zdigi.ttf

but, still the fonts are not changed...

I believe if you installed them on your memory card, then simply by deleting that folder via Card Reader then no trace what so ever. Or if you wanna be sure make backup and reformat the phone.. Using this method how can they know??

The 5 fonts .ttf supplied in CreaFont.zip are compatibile with n80 (& maybe others models)

For e60 and others models for which the font doesn't changes or partially changes, you have to get the original font files from the the device.

So, you have to replace the files (contained in CreaFont.zip)
aSans.ttf
aSansB.ttf
aSansSB.ttf
aSansTSB.ttf
aDigi.ttf
with the files you got from z:\resource\fonts\
(you have to rename these font files in aSans*.ttf)

then follow the tutorial to create new compatibile self-installing font package for your model.

I installed font 1 and font 2 on my E61 and didn't work only in screen saver mode where the time is suppose to be displayed there were some weird symbols. To remove all i did was go to app manager and remove. Reboot phone after removing and it was gone. wala:win:

Hi all,
i created my fonts and tried to install in my N80 ,created on my mmc under resourses a fonts directory and put my fonts in.It didnt work,it was driving me crazy for two days,formating the phone the card all over again.Finaly i figured out with my card in the phone created a new fonts file in my card,removed the card put it in the reader copied all my fonts in the directory and then moved the directory under resourses, and voila it worked.
Conclusion : probably the pc has different font mappings than the phone,so if you create the Fonts directory with your pc is not recognized by the phone. Hope i helped some of you.

no I have not time for it:( n93 still have many sw bugs. e.g i n80 I insert different fonts in fonts folder but there also was original n80 fonts. after it I have see all characters in different web sites. but in n93 that methode not work. may be it is sw bug. I do not know

I am not sure that on n91 *#7370# will work but u can try. also u can try another methode press and hold on green(call) button 3 and * together and whitch phone and do not release all 4 buttons until phone will switch on completly. in both methode u will lost all data so it is recomended that u beckup ur contacts before

here what we have in E-61 .....opening Ybrowser in Z:/RESOURCE/FONTS we can see three files :-
1.S60SC.CCC
2.S60TCHK.CCC
3.S60ZDIGI.TTF
IT MEANS WE ARE HAVING ONLY ONE FILE OF FONTS HERE AND THAT IS FOR SCREEN SAVER .....NOW ANY HELP PPL:ilove:

also, i have a question. how did you transfer the fonts (NOSNR60.TTF, NSSB60.TTF & NSTSB60.TTF) to the E:/resource/fonts folder? Did you copy it via cable => data transfer mode? I could not create E:/resource/fonts using Y-Browser, can you please tell how you created the folder?

Someone please help.. I just flashed my n80 to the firmware v 4.0623.0.41 and ever since i did this the font dont work anymore.. does that mean the new firmware doesnt support the fonts?? please help coz i really loved all the fonts that sax provided and i wanna install rockwell again..

try format phone with 3 button combination after format mmc and instal ur fonts in mmc and it will worck. also chek names in z:/resource/fonts are same as fonts names which u instal. maybe in new fw version nokia change font names?

I've tried 3 or 4 of those fonts and find them all smaller than the nokia original one, so have had to format my phone using the 3 key method to return it back to its factory settings.

i've just chek on my new n80(fw 3.xx), they didn't change any font namse, so or they forbid us to use personal fonts, or u need to do something to reinstall them!! try to format C drive...i can't do anything else, i can't upgrade to fw 4.x coz i've a brand one so i can't try by my own! :|

to all 3250 users, dont bother to change your current fonts, the screen of 3250 is not as good as N80 or N73. I tried every fonts in my computer, nothing is readable. Its too small to look at when you upload it into your 3250

Yeah this problem with the N80 and FW V4 is a sod!!

I had a look in z:\resourse\fonts and there were 4 fonts in there with a different format of names to the installed fonts on my E:\resourse\fonts.

I couldnt find c:\resourse\fonts if it does exist!!!

In z:\resourse\fonts there is

S60SNR.ttf
S60SSB.ttf
S60TSB.ttf
S60ZDIGI.ttf Only 4 and not the usual 5.

I have tried renaming the fonts for the Comic fonts to the above names and restarted my phone and nada, nowt, nothing.....

There must have been a change somewhere with the new firmware. GRRRRR the Standard nokia fotn is pants!!!

Dude why do you need the original font. Incase you have anstalled a font and you dont like it just put your card in a card reader or goto the data transfer mode and delete the fonts folder located in E:\resources\fonts and restart your phone. The original fonts will be restored. Hope this helps. Enjoy !!

siraulo, there is another post on another forum segment on font removal, try that. It requires the use of fexplorer and font remover plus you can make your own fonts. check it on s60 apps forum. this segment is for v9.1 s60. very unstable dude.

Maybe there is some other program "blocking" the installing, or the first one that you put in there didn't work and you haven't removed it. I had to remove installed fonts before putting new ones in, and then booted the phone. That's because there can be only one set of fonts at once.

Is there anyone, that has gotten the fonts working in N80 with firmware 4.xx, because they don't work in my phone anymore after the firmware upgrade?

ok i had to delete the ones on my E70, i noticed some of the text messages came out funny and some displayed funny symbols (capital F did), also i couldnt select "data transfer" when i plugged in the usb cable as it told me the memory card was in use.

I'm using e61 - what I did :
1) take out my memory stick from hp - place it into card reader.
2) open up "Resource" sub folder "Font" and paste in the additional fonts file which i intent to have in my hp.
3) place your memory stick back to your hp and restart.

There you have it all the font ready to be use.

hi guys, i've got a little problem. after downloading the 2 files "font1 $ font2" and succesfully installing them. the font did not work or appeared even after i restarted my phone "N73". well thats not the problem, the problem is that when i remove the fonts, using "sysexplorer" C:Nand\resource\fonts. i deleted the folder fonts. so now whenever i use the music player i get wierd texts like "((2(('(+2*." instead off the song timer and also in standby mode, which the phone is suppose to show the time, date and so, i get those wierd text. so is there any way off me to restore the fonts or is there any kind off code or program to restart/restore the phone back to its original settings and apps. *#7780# i've tried this code but it only restore the phone settings, plz help. thnz in adv

If you want to format your phone please press and hold Green button (answer button) + '3' button + '*' button and pressing them turn the power on. Keep pressing those three buttons until you see the Nokia Logo. Charge your battery before you do that ;)

You have to tell me what font names you have in your z:\resource\fonts folder and I can try to make the new files for you. When you give me the names I will post the new fonts with instructions on how to install them.

OK I've made the fonts and they should probably work. Now how to install them. Unfortunately you have to have a card reader. On the card you have to create a foulder FONTS in the resource folder and paste contents of one of the zip file to FONTS, put the card in the phone and restart. The fonts should be used. I have to warn you that installing fonts on the E: drive (which is the expanshion memory) will turn off the ability for the phone to in the Data Transfer mode, this is due to the fact that the phone has exclusive rights to the font files after you place them on the memory card. You should never place fonts on the phone's memory because then you would have to format the phone to get rid of them. When you want to change fonts you will have to replace the ones in the E:\resource\fonts with a new set of font files. You can only do this with a card reader, the phone will not let you rename, delete or copy-over the font files once it starts using them.

Is there a special way to restart the phone. When i copied the fonts to the folder and switched off my cell and put it back on the fonts never changed. But when i phone hung out of the blue and restarted then the fonts had changed. So when the phone gets jammed and restarts on its own then the fonts change. Is there a way to restart the phone in that same way. Ive got the n80 with the latest firmware on it v4.xxx.xxx

OK , guyz . I need some help and will be very happy if you help me.
I installed some fonts to my MMC but when i want to connect it via Data Transfer i have to turn off the phone, remove the card and turn it on again so it doesnt load the fonts, otherwise it say "Cant activate data transfer. Memory card in use. "
So, my question is HOW to install font on my PHONE , not on memory card. Font installer installs it on card, so i suppose it should be as SIS file. And can someone make for me SiS / SiSX with Comic sans for Nokia 3250 because these already posted dont work with me.
And one more question... I guess i will be unable to delete the fonts if i install them ot the phone , right ?

At the moment I have the problem that does not go it on my N73 either anymore.
It would be beautiful if there were soon Fonts which would run 100 % on the N73.

Helllllllllppppppp !!!! I cant seem to get the fonts to work on my n80. I had v3.xxx before and that time all the fonts worked fine.. But after I upgraded my n80 to v4.xxx fonts stopped working. I had put the fonts on my memory card in a folder named fonts under resources and restarted my cell nothing happened. But one day when my cell hung and restarted itself somehow the fonts had changed.. When i tried to change it the original fonts were back. Now i cant get it to change.. Any solutions??

Yes ,mate, camifont is working on my N73 after *#7370#.... but dont forget to backup your information before 8-)

hehe i am brilliant
after workin hard at it for the last 3 days I KNOW how to make all of these fonts work on the N73, it takes a bit of time and you need a couple programs but the outcome is HELL worth it,,,

Kindly share your brilliant discovery.. Ive been trying and trying but cant manage to get it right on my n73. :)

okies, firstly, if you have already installed a font and it not work , you have to do the following,
1. delete the fonts folder on the memory card (or format the memory card.
2. using phoenix, format drive 'C' (all data is erased, phone is like brand new {note.. nothing happens to your firmware/software, this process is safe if done right.

Now that your phone has been rid of any previous font installations the process is the same as if you have not previously installed fonts.

1. install the font of your choice (you only get one choice, after that you have to repeat the process as mentioned above)
2. DONT RESTART YOUR PHONE, unplug your data cable and plug it back in but this time select 'mass storage device' rather than pc suite.
3. once you have done this open up the mass storage device in my computer, go into the resource folder (it may be hidden so apply 'view hidden files' under folder options) then go into the fonts folder.
4. here are the fonts you installed, but they won't work for N73 just like this because their named wrong.
5. firstly delete the file that has 'digi' in the name
6. find the font file that is is the 'semi bold' one and rename it nssb60
7. find the font that is the regular one, (no bold no nothing) and rename it nosnr60
8. find the font file that it the 'title SmBd' or title semi bold, and rename it nstsb60
9. delete any other font files in this folder
10. appropriately disconnect the data cable
11. reboot your phone
WAALAAA you have brand new font installed on your phone

please tell me how you do as i interested, i spent hours and hours and hours to make this work, so it will make me proud if it works for others, Thanks,

I know I'm probably a fool to have done it but I've installed arial font on the phone memory (via sis file) of my N80.

I was so annoyed that it wouldnt work on my phone anymore since I updated to V 4.6023.0.42.

It may be a problem if I ever decide to change the font but for now I don't care.....I'm happy

You dont have to format your momory card. Just use a memory card reader or connect your phone using mass storage and delete the fonts folder under resources in your momory card and then restart your phone. It will work. :)

Hey man i followed your instructions exactly the way you mentioned but the fonts didnt change on my n73. I installed the fonts to the memory card and instead of going into mass storage i used my memory card because when i tried to go into mass storage it kept saying cant go into mass storage mode since memory card is in use thats why i chose the card reader. I renamed the fonts and deleted the others and then restarted the phone. But nothing happened. :( Any clues??

I tried this process with the rockwell.sis font file.

Did you restart the phone before you tried to connect it as mass storage device, hence why i wrote DONT RESTART, if you restart then the phone tries to boot from the font files on the memory card, but fails as they are named wrong, but this process dissables you the use of the mass storahe device function as the phone takes control of the memory card, get phoenix and format drive C: like i said and try again, the other thing is that maybe you named the files wrong, or something else, double check every step i wrote and if you still havin trouble please reply ASAP hope this helped a little. To remove them change the fonts folder name to fonts1 and then reboot the phone, after reboot you should be able to remove the fonst in the fonts1 folder

thankx man 4 ur info bu i cant delete da fonts file or remane da folder at my n80..every time it says da application is running and i cant even format my memory card..i cant use my n80 as mass storage when i connet through data cabel(i deleted da font file from my n73 by data cable as da fonts didnt work on tht)..

Try this:

In my case I could RENAME the folder on the MMC to old_font with the Y-Browser and then I could delete it :)

That also works on other S60 Phones. You can copy different fonts on your phone and rename the folders to font1 font2 etc. Then you only must rename the current folder to font_old or something like that - and then rename the new font folder to fonts :)
This way you can change your font every time you want to ...

For N93 users (maybe for others too) i figured out myself...

Look in z:\resourse\fonts and see how the fonts are named, then rename the fonts on your card the same way... that's all.

procedure detailed:
(you already installed the fonts on the card)

1. use y-browser to copy from z:\resourse\fonts the fonts somewhere on ur card (not in e:\resourse\fonts !!) to later see their names.
2. put the card in your pc and go where you copied the fonts from z:\resourse\fonts ... see their names.. now go in e:\resourse\fonts and rename those fonts exactly like those copied from z:\resourse\fonts .
3. shut down the phone, put the card in it and restart the phone... voila.

note:
the font name differs from one phone model to another, thats why i didnt give specific names for the fonts. (for n93 like myself the names are NOSNRS60.ttf NOSSBS60.ttf NOTSBS60.ttf S60ZDIGI.ttf)

Can anyone tell me what font is for what menu/icons/list etc?
I just to change the icons font and leave the others in place.

Guys,

Need help...
I installed the Arial Narrow.sis fonts on my E61 and after I restart the fonts works perfectly.
Problem now is, I could not change to other font... :(
If I run camifont.sis (for example) it says "Update error", after I check apparently the fonts (Arial narrow) is install on the C:\Resources\fonts which I could not delete nor rename.

How do I change the fonts again? Need help... =((

Any one can help please.
By mistake i have installed the font1.sis on the phone memory in N73 and it doesnt work.but some clock digts have changed in other language.Now i want to remove it & i tried to delete the folder c:\resource\fonts but i says REQUEST OPERATION CANNOT BE COMPLETED: ERROR-46 . What should i do. Should i format the phone? yes. Then how should i format it. Or any other way is there.

if u installed it on phone memory u have to formatt it to remove font!! this is the only solution!! this fonts work only on n80....with other 3rd edition u have to put some font files(renamed) in E:\ resource\ fonts!!

Can you/anyone elaborate on this? I also have N80IE firmware and would like to try out new fonts but no way am I doing it on the phone memory if I have to reformat to uninstall!

Also, if the font is installed to the memory card, will that prevent the phone from working in 'mass storage' mode because the font will always be in memory so phone will say "unable to enter offline mode, memory card is in use by another application"?
