This is a little easy guide to help the new persons out there.

How to rename .zip/.rar[...] to .jar (by me)

First Step :
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Open any folder. My Documents can also be used.
Press on tools then folder options...

Second Step :
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Go to the View tab, then
uncheck this feature: Hide extensions for known file types

Third Step :
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Now you can clearly see the extension .zip
Just right click on the file, rename it replacing the .zip to .jar
e.g Java game.zip ----> Java game.jar

Fourth Step:

Return to step two,but check the Hide extensions for known file types to return everything to normal

Note!

All types of zip can be changed to jar,but bear in mind that if you (for e.g) download a pc game in .zip, and change it to .jar, it won't work on your mobile phone.
Normally when you extract a java game which is in .zip and needs to be converted to .jar, you'll see loads of files.
Example (taking in Xmen Legends 2)

Hope that this little step-by-step tutorial created by me helped you.
If it did, please add some reputation :D

Cheers :D

WARNING: only do this if you're absolutely sure that the file you're renaming is in fact a .jar file (if you open the file with WinZIP, you should see lots of different files, including a folder named META-INF) !!!

Most of the time a .rar or .zip file actually contains the .jar file, in which case you need to use something like WinRAR or WinZIP to extract the .jar file from the .zip file.
If you just rename those files, the game or app will not run on your phone!

In fact... I wrote this part of yours in, but I removed it since I thought it was more than natural to know...
anyway,i'll just re-add it :D

Thanks for noting though! :D

It is natural to you and me, but probably not to the average newbie who needs your tutorial. So the addition definitely can't hurt. :)

Depends, if you have a java phone, then it won't be able to extract it.. and sending it in .rar will be useless :)
rather send the .jar
or else, if you can extract , read those kind of files, then I'm sure you can :)
