I have problem in re-installing Toshiba Power Saver.
It always prompt 1607 saying that the installation valid for existing program.
How can? Application sit and still but not working.
That's why I try to re-install but always end up with this annoying prompt...!
Appreciate any help or assistance...

Have you removed the former version before installing the new one ?

I did remove but everytime I try to re-install, it keep prompting for confirmation:
"Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its feature?".
Selection available only OK and Cancel. If I choose OK then:
error 1605 "This action is only valid for product that currently installed".
But if I choose CANCEL, installation abort and exit.
Seems to me like devil circle, I must remove first but I must still have.
I did download from Toshiba the newest version and ends up with exactly same problem.
How could possibly Toshiba make this very difficult for user in re-installing application?
It was working fine until I ran XPManager, problem begin.
Thanks for your effort in helping me.

Hmm... I have tried with my pc - i could remove/re-install the power saver without problems.
Have you tried to open powersaver although it shows an error message when you re-install ?
Because i have heard that the software sometimes shows an error message without any reason.
My last suggestion is that you remove all powersaver files on your pc and in your registry (be careful deleting keys from the registry !) and then try to re-install the program.

I have try all your suggestions with no luck.
Toshiba powersaver is the only power saving program I have.
My concern with this powersaver because when running with battery I can not adjust the procesor speed. Battery flat very fast.
Well, again, thanks a lot for your help mate.

If you use the Windows component (Power Options in CP) You can ajust the processor speed by choosing "Home/Desktop" for max. power usage (no stepping) and "max battery" for min. power usage (stepps your processor to 600-800 MHz).
It hasn't that many options to set as the Power Manager but it's working. (:

I've found an alternative to the Toshiba powersaver - RM Clock Utility ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) - which is working excellent. It is a bit more complicated, but you have all the options you'll need. :)
