I am a K750i user. And as we all know, this phone has a limitation. The loudspeaker can be very soft at times.

This guide will teach you how to optimize your mp3 volume without any loss in quality (bitrate). This can be useful if you want to increase your ringtone volume which despite highest volume in your phone setting it is still soft.

It does not involve any conversion.

The FREE program needed for this guide would be MP3Gain.

Description from official website:

Tired of reaching for your volume **** every time your mp3 player changes to a new song?
MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume.

MP3Gain does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.
Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.

Note: THIS GUIDE IS MEANT FOR MP3s ONLY! Sorry. :respect:

It is actually very simple to use.

1. First download and install the program.

2. Start the program. Click on Add File(s) or Add Folder. Depending on whether you want to normalize all your mp3 at one shot, or you want to normalize them one by one.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

I recommend doing one by one as all mp3s have different volume levels. Unless the songs you want to normalize are from the same album(same encoding).

3. Once selected, you files will appear in the list. Next, you need to click on Track Analysis to see what are the volume for your mp3s.

4. Now, once the analysis is completed. Check the volume of your mp3. A good loud and clear mp3 should have a volume of about 96dB.

5. So, now you know which files needs to be Normalized (a term used to increase/decrease your mp3 volume to the best level). Remove the files that you do not need by clicking on a file and click Clear File(s).

6. Next, change the default "Target Normal Volume" from 89dB to 96dB.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

7. Finally, once the above has been done. Click on Track Gain.

You have now completed increasing your mp3 volume.

I hope this guide is useful for all.

Have been using this for a long time now..

The way to enhance the volume while avoiding clipping (the buzz sound played when due to the volume boost the mp3 info is lost) is

1. Go to the OPTIONS -> ADVANCED
2. Then select (checkbok) the ENABLE "MAXIMIZING" FEATURES
3. Now use the shortcut CONTROL+X for no-clip gain

one way to increase the sound volume is to use NERO WAVE EDITOR which has a friendly interface and can easily be done.

I got no result in this way. Anyway.
In my opinion the best way to get loud and crystal clear ringtones by yourself is Goldwave.
It's a software. You can easily Google it down. It's free license is long enough [He he].
I used this to get loud ringtones on the Motorola L7 which is, for your knowledge of the most unclear sounding phone. You cannot even here the lyrics of mp3s in the crowd. I used Goldwave it works perfectly.

How to create those ringtones:
1-Open the sound you want to use as ringtone and select which part you wana make your ringtone.
2-Click "Effect>Filter>Equalizer". In the 60Hz area drag the panel to the bottom and in the 150 Hz area drag it in the middle which should be 10 according to the scale. This removes some bass effects which actually get the volume down when you play them on loudspeaker. This effect will leave some basic base effects which will give some good bass feelings still. You can edit it to your own needs. Like raising the 60Hz panel a bit etc. So, click ok and let the software do some work.
3-Now click"Effects>Compressor/Expander". In the "Presets" drop down area select "Hard Limit to -6db". It also reduces some unnecessary pressure from the loudspeaker. Click OK.
4-Now click"Effects>Volume>Change Volume" and in the first box on top right area enter 7.10. This should show a percentage around 230 in the area right below that box. Click Ok.
8-This part actually depends on you. Click "File>Save As". If the software prompts for a CODEC or something then follow the instruction in order to be able to save in mp3 format. If you don't install the codec then the sound will be a low pitched one. But I do otherwise. I save it as WAV and then use dBPowerAmp to convert it to 112Kbps/44100hz/Mono/MP3.
