Anybody managed to make this game work on n-gage qd??

For some reason when I double click on the stranded.jar file I get a runtime error from Nokia PC suite and it doesn't install. This only happens with this game I just installed 10 other ones. As if the file's corrupted or something.

No way this file is corrupted, didn't you read the first page mate?

I don't know what phone you have but if you try to send it to your phone( mmc card ) by bluetooth or with card reader....... as soon as it is already in your phone's mmc card, find the file with any app explorer( FileMan, FExplorer, ... ) and then click on it to start the installation.

• About N-gage and N-gage QD it seams like it is not compatible. Br.

@ rio : U mentioned that the jar files is 313 KB but when i extract the zip files the jar files is only 306 KB. N the second thing is when i install the game to my 3230 it will start for sure but after the choosing sound screen it fill freeze in the GLU screen n restart by itself. Any solution to these ???? Or is it incompatible with 3230. Thx !!!!

313.000 bites actually, 308 kb should be the right size but it is not really important....... about the compatibility with your phone, try to check with AppMan how much memory free( RAM ) you have before starting the game, maybe your phone is too full with apps & games, if your phone memory is low( and I'm not talking about your mmc card ) games may freeze because of that. Naturally there is also a possibility of your phone to be not compatible. Br.

Tried ur suggestion but still no solution. I guess the games is not compatible with 3230. Thx anyway !!!!

Its working on my phones thanx its pretty neat game & its fast! Glu is 2nd best game maker after Gameloft for me. Thanx riolatino for posting this game coz i visited their site cant find this game its not yet available in my country..:weedman:

That is also possible icetger! If leo5354 has an old firmaware on his phone he must upgrade, call Club Nokia or search with google.com for one in your city, if your phone is still in the warranty it is done for free even.

The memory to fall to 4.2MB sounds normal, I just don't understand why it is freezing. You have memory enough looks like. Do you mean with 8.1MB free phone memory space or 8.1MB free RAM?

• FileMan/SystemExplorer >> you see phone free & total memory space.

• AppMan >> you see RAM free space( also phone and mmc card memory space ).

I advice AppMan to check..... also to compress or reboot phone and gain RAM back!

Oh ****!! It does not respond when I tried to reopen the game which is almost at the END of the game!! The saved game is too great!! It only work well on S60 phones with good memory capacity!!

Guy + Gal + Deserted Island = True Love & Sex

Mind I'm not a sex maniac, I'm only doing it for everyone interest & nature...

The game Stranded only includes a slighty obvious crush between Mark (Player) and the young & pretty single mother (Ooops!! Forgot the name)... That's all...

I also get a weird freeze while playing the game. When I quit I get a "Memory Full" error window.

I'm using a 6681, game installed on my MMC, which has 18MB free.

My C Drive has 4260KB free, so I shouldn't have this issue, no?

Any ideas?

Not enough free space on your C drive, read my post above...

The Nokia 6681 comes with 8MB free C drive space, how can you end up only with 460kb???

Unistall everything you have installed on your C drive and install on your mmc only. Fancy themes also take space on the C drive.

Also important to have free RAM, you get free RAM making sure all other apps are closed or disabled and not even running on the background like antivirus programs, SMS Face, etc...

LOL! Sorry mate, I'm too busy doing a lot of things in the same time....., still 4.2MB free space is not much, try to do what I said then try the game and post results later, cheers! :)

My phone also have 8MB C drive space, I manage to keep free more than 6.5MB just for you to have an idea but I think you should check the RAM with AppMan.

I've installed and am using AppMan, which now frees up 7.24 MB (4.36 C drive, 1.8 D drive)

I am, however, still getting the freeze.

I have only Fexplorer and Readm installed on my phone, any other apps are on my MMC, which is a 64MB card.

My version of phone is:

I see you have enough RAM( 7.24MB ), that is a good thing.......

... but I still think that 4.36 C drive space is not much, the last advice I can give you is to browse your C drive with System Explorer( for example ) and find out what programs or games you have installed there, then unistall it and reinstall what you still want to the mmc card...... like this you will have enough space on your phone memory( C:/ ) as well.... it may help.

You normally have 8MB, try to have at lest 6.5 free space in the C drive. I can tell you as well that if you feel up too much your mmc it means you are feeling up your C drive as well because always some files are installed there. Br.

allocated resources, 'coz it closed in abnormal way. But I still have same
free space on my C: disk after that... So, IMHO free disk space on disk C:
is in no way freezing problem... I want to emphasize - IMHO. I don't
think either, that J2ME Virtual Machine can allocate up to 4 Mb of space
for a game with a full size of ~300 Kb... On our phones Disk C: is no more
than just a storage. This is the Mobile Phone OS, after all :)

Mate, this is a free forum and all suggestions, help and personal experience is must welcome, I'm not a total expert but I do my best to help using all the information I have, in one way or another to leave the C drive as empty as possible always improve the phone performance and that is all what I'm trying to do, honestly I was running out of resources with this problem, open for suggestions...? ( always! ) :D

I promised to give a FULL details of common to rare animals and its locations in a few days time if anyone gives the answer...

Examples like :

Bird No. 6 Nandu: Rocky areas, any time,uncommon
Boar No. 15 Tan Potbelly: Beach Areas, Day time, uncommon

Maybe Mark (Player) wanna date Isabelle than Emily for dinner sooner once they reach the land and you-know-what they are going to do afterwards. Very Common in MOST movies, games, Novels, etc.


Or Maybe they landed on the new deserted island to start a brand new adventure like fighting modern day pirates or scums on that island in the coming "Stranded 2"...

i had the freezing problems too, but the game is so good and it didn't bother me so much. but now i have a serious problem. i got to the point when i kill ian, and then find the place with a water. the game froze, so i closed it, open it again, but when i choose load, it just says please wait.. and nothing happens. i tried restarting phone, but no luck. can someone please help me. maybe it's possible to "save" a savegame file, and to reinstall game?

Personally, I would like to see a crossover and stick Eva Longoria/Gabrielle on a sun drenched desert island where she falls in love with the multi millionaire Latino - Hurley. Although the more I think about it, the more it sounds like Celebrity Love Island and that's one show that should be left well alone to repeats on ITV2 and not on my mobile!

With the shows having such a huge worldwide following (not Love Island, the other two) these could be a couple of 'the' games for next year and will finally see mobile gaming take its place alongside the elite.
