PSPVBA: GameBoy Advance Emulator v1.2.4 for FW 1.5

File Name pspvba-v1.2.4-fw15.zip
File Type ZIP
Developer Zx-81
Operating System Any
File Size 1.26 MB
Created 08/03/2006
Updated 08/03/2006

File Description
We all had a scare when word broke out that emulation machine zx-81 is giving up on making improvements on his GBA emulator, PSPVBA . zx-81 quickly doused that rumor releasing v1.2.3 saying that "Who said i give up? I never give up when i got ideas to make things going better." If there's one thing he's proven, other than being a very talented coder, that is he is no quitter; especially with the release of his emu no booted to v1.2.4.

According to him, this release is "a bit faster compared to v1.2.3 (up to 3% on v-rally 3)". What's more, the version now is also compatible to 2.x firmwares. Here's a list of what is new with v1.2.4:

- Improve the code of the graphic stuff (up to 3% faster)
- Improve the code of the ARM emulator (faster)
- Add BIOS file support (see the README)
- Add option to adjust the sound quality
- Add option to delete files (in the file selector)
- Bug fix in the save settings code
- Merge the code for 1.5FW and 2.xFW

zx-81 also recognizes that there has been a lot of new PSP owners flocking the community, so he's included a very detailed instruction of how to use his program in the readme inside the file. Another reminder though, he says that "this package is under GPL Copyright, read COPYING file for more information about it." With that, the whole QJ community salute zx-81 for a job well done!

Horses v1.0

File Name Horses.rar
File Type RAR
Developer mark.sparky
Operating System Any
File Size 1.69 MB
Created 08/03/2006
Updated 08/03/2006
Download Price Free

File Description
Every man has an innate gambler in him, and mark.sparky from our forums has come up with a very simple lua game to satisfy that inner addiction. Don't let the words "simple" and "lua" turn you off, you can spend hours with this game betting your money on one of the six horses namely Sparky, Pedro, Firestorem, Chub, Homer and Gingers (cute names huh?).

At the start of the game, you are given of virtual gambling money. You can use a portion of it (depending on how conservative or agressive you are) to bet on any of the horses, each with odds raising their winning average. The less the horse's winning chance, the higher the pot under his name is. You can choose to play the lucky bucky by placing "one time big time" bets, or you can roll your money on horses with lesses value but higher chances of winning. If that doesn't challenge your decision-making skills, we don't know what will.

mark.sparky plans to add music and mini-games that the player can unlock after winning a certain amount of money. Give this one a try and you just might find yourself cheering on the horse you picked; much like the hustlers here at QJ are doing. "Go Firestorm, go!"

Type: Freeware
Requirements:
• PSP

File Description
About Abombniball:
Abombniball PSP is a PSP port.
The original game was made by Martin Donlon (Akawaka),so all credits go to him.
Visit his site on http://akawaka.csn.ul.ie/abombniball.php3
This game is released under the license of GPL.

Playing
-------
The objective of Abombniball is to defuse all the explosives on each
level. As a ball, this would normally be a simple task, however each
level is filled with traps and devious puzzles placed there
by...oh...lets say "Dr. Y-Front", your arch-nemesis (he's very evil).
These traps take the form of special tiles which disappear or do other
nasty things.

Grey Tile - A solid tile. He never falls away and abandons you like
all those other tiles. He's always be there for you.

Blue Tile
Green Tile
Red Tile - These all vanish after you leave them. Leaving a gapping
hole in the grid and an empty space in your heart.

2 Tile - More caring and forgiving than those selfish color tiles.
You can bounce on these submissive fellas twice before
they vanish.

Blue Arrow - Rude fellows. Shove you in whatever direction the arrow
is pointing.

Red Arrow - Even ruder still. They make you jump in whatever
direction the arrow is pointing.

You defuse bombs by landing on the bombs square, however you can only
defuse the bomb thats currently counting down. Trying to defuse any
other bomb will cause it to explode.

Each level provides you with a certain amount of jumps, they are limit
so use them with care.

Controls (Analogue stick)
--------
Left - Move left
Right - Move right
Up - Move up
Down - Move down

(hold) X button - Jump

Block Attack v0.2.1

Size: 2.26 KB
Date: July 7, 2006 (Updated)
Type: Freeware
Requirements:
• PSP

Description:
You take the role of a Blue block trying to manuever it's way thru a barrage of black blocks. You do this by strategically making your block drift (controlled by pressing X). You can also gain bonus lives by gobbling up the green objects. This game may look crude to some, but I suggest you give it a try and see for yourself how excruciatingly challenging it is to avoid those rampaging black ones.
The biggest update on this version compared to the last one is the addition of highscore features. You can now make track of your progress by checking how much points you've gained/lost.
Slicer4ever recoded that whole project, just so he could come up with this update. And with the upcoming features he wishes to add in the future releases, like music, different type of blocks, a more effective highscore, etc, he may have to redo it all over again. Fret not though, it's a good way to develop your skills, and that means better games for us in the future!
You will need Lua Player to play this game.

Deal or No Deal game !

I have to admit, personally I love this show; for some bizarre reason its got me hooked and always wanting more. And now I can have more, and you can too! Stemming from ADePSP comes the #1 game show in America for the PSP, “Deal or No Deal.” Yeah, yeah… I know there has been versions released before, but none as slick as this!

This version has quality graphics and non stop atmospheric background music for almost every action or moment in the game… Both of which make it a really nice handheld gameshow experience…

Unaware of this game? Here’s a quick run through:

There are 26 suitcases that contain various amounts of money… You pick one and then open various others revealing what you could have won until the banker phones up and tries to tempt you out of what “might” be in your suitcase with a cash offer… You can choose to accept that or carry on opening cases until you are offered another deal… If you get to the last case then you can choose to keep yours or swap and get the cash in the remaining suitcase instead… The idea is to walk away with the most money you can (obviously)…

Just want to share this application.

PSPtube enables you to watch streaming video from youtube veoh googlevideo crunchyroll and others.

Simple Instruction.

1. Your psp must able to run Homebrew.
2. Download the attach file.
3 Extract PSPTUBE folder to /PSP/GAME/
4. Lunch PSPtube on your psp and connect to a wifi with internet .
5. press "select" button until you see youtube in the upper left corner of your psp screen.
6. press "O" then input a word you want seach. sample "movie"
7. wait for the results. select the clip and press "X"

Just experiment with controls. Enjoy!!!
