is a very tedeous job to clean some of the spyware. Be careful with the broadband installer cd, maybe it contain spyware. Last choice to format your pc and install the broadband without using the cd..

Sounds to me like its hiding in the restore points and reinstalling on boot up to get rid do this.

First thing you have to do is turn of system restore and reboot, this will purge all the old restore points you have, once done reboot again into safe mode and use whatever apps you have to remove the offending software/spyware.

when you have done that run a spyware programme and get rid of any remnants then reboot into normal mode, You should have got rid of the stuff on your pc and it wont reinstall because you got rid of it from its hiding place.

**** dood, formating is the last thing you should be trying, do what i said and it will be gone.

To turn system restore off go to...

start----all programmes----accessorys-----system tools-----system restore click on that.

In the window that pops up there is 2 panes the left one has a link for system restore options, click that and in there is a tick box to turn off system restore.

If you format everytime you get a peice of spyware you will be at it everyday.

BROADBAND modem CD's will NEVER have spyware/malware/adware on them. NEVER
