Recently, my PC takes abt 1 min before it shut down.....normally is abt 5 sec only. Suspect some trojan viruses within the system....used AVG and Avast home edition but can't find any

Can someone advise on how to detect and fix the problem....cos I don wan to format my HD.

if there is no error message popup during the shutdown then mostly is not spyware problem. It maybe too many driver loaded up etc.. browse the windows os trick & hack section, there is a thread describe how to shut down your pc faster. BR.
