VITO Ringtone Editor is the quickest way to create your own ringtones. All you need to do is listen to the melody and choose the part of it you want to assign as a ringtone. User-friendly intuitive interface simplifies the process greatly. After you have started VITO Ringtone Editor, browse the folders to find the necessary music file in MP3, WAV or OGG format and start playing it.

While the melody is playing you mark the beginning and the end of a ringtone: just a matter of two presses. The ringtone is created! Now you can immediately assign it as a default ringtone or just save it. You can also replay the ringtone and if it doesn't meet your expectations you can play the original file once again to select a different part. Create your own collection of ringtones with ease!

August 3, 2006 – VITO Technology announces an update for VITO Ringtone Editor. It takes just a couple of clicks to create your own ringtones on Smartphone or Pocket PC (Phone Edition) with Windows Mobile 2003 and higher. Let your individuality sound through your ringtones! The idea is to listen to your favorite song and select its part to assign as a ringtone. While the melody is playing you mark the beginning and the end of a ringtone: just a matter of two presses. The ringtone is created! Now you can immediately assign it as a default ringtone or just save it. Replay the new ringtone and edit it if you want.
You can use music in WAV, MP3 and OGG formats to create ringtones. The updated version of VITO Ringtone Editor features optimized bit rate: now ringtones have the best sounding the speakers on your mobile device can produce.
Other improvements involve ringtones creation. When you choose a melody it starts to play with a short delay, so that you can record a ringtone from its very beginning. Fast forward or rewind with joystick while choosing start and finish points of a ringtone to spare your time. Ringtones created from one and the same melody do not replace each other anymore; they are all saved to Windows\Rings.

Thanks for quick update.

Not the most feature rich ringtone editor that i've ever seen. There's no way to change the bitrate, no way to set a pinpoint start and end point, and there's no undo. However, for what it is, it does get the job done. Nice share.

I do not have a personal affinity with VITO, but if they can keep improving this one, it will come in handy.

For now, i'll use my desktop splitter and audio converter.
