I tried the MapKing, and Tom Tom seems to be much better.

TomTom do not make Asia Maps, your only option is to use Mapking, see - h**p://www.iphone-forum.org/tomtom-navigation-systems/t-mapking-7-and-maps-119481.html for details.

I really wanted Osaka, but I guess Tokyo will do for my trip there next Friday.

Yeah - looking on the Tomtom site they only do 2 of the cities - Honk-Kong & Singapore, & I could really do with a copy of the Singapore map if anyone can manage to obtain a copy :D :D

I have both Hong Kong and Singapore maps. They are version v650.1358. But you are the Russel that seemed to think I used v680.1536 Eastern Europe. You have two standards now? Yes they work on a 720 assuming you have the product code, or 710 or Palm etc. Tomorrow I am in Hong Kong.

I realise that the newer HK maps have the naming of streets and roads all wrong!?

Not even a native HK friend of mine understand those names! Whereas the older v5xx HK maps have english road names, which is how they are actually named!

Hmmm . . I dunno how it could have got deleted from rapidshare or anywhere else for that matter ... seeing as TomTom have never made a map for Mainland China? :forsaken:

And if you bothered to do a search on here or the actual TomTom Website you would also find that they don't make a map for Bangladesh either. :forsaken:

It amazes me how people come posting on here asking for maps without looking or searching first. Or they ask for them in the wrong Thread Topic. Or they ask for maps that have never existed! :forsaken:

Yup, managed to download. Just a shame TomTom is slow on Asian maps.

Thanks but when i save the rar file to my O2, it still cannot be open as an application. how can I open the file? even in my laptop when i try to open, its only contain dat file where O2 needs an application to open those dat files.

Tried. uprar at both laptop and O2, however still only able to see .dat kind of media file and one more .pna file. They pops up a error message window saying that I need an application to open those files. But till now i still don't know what kind of application it refers to. :(

Would really appreciate if someone can try that out for me. Coz i just purchase 2 sets of O2 at retail price and yet really can't make full use of that.
