I tried all 5 variations and all the tips here but could not get it regged or sometimes got error messages like "One or more components of Wi-Fi Companion were not found...". Can someone please put clear step-by-step instructions please? And which of the downloadable files (versions) to use. Thanks.

Btw. The latest version of the 3 day demo works fine on my MDA Vario but the serial does not.

For me the v2.8 by kleiner_fr from...

HEY GUYS I GOT THE SOLUTION FOR WM5

Step by step
1. Download that
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

2. Install application 2.8, wait installation procedure that brings up WiFi Companions window to front, play with menus, application will ask you serial... write down 02873. Check for "Thank you" message :p

3. Exit application, exit setup and reset device.

4. Download that
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

5. Send cab file to PPC, double click on PPC and install over old version that we installed before... Wait for applications main window, exit, exit setup

6. Soft-Reset device

That worked for me... For you?

The point is playing with menus at setup (at the end of setup, application shows its user face, play with menus until registration screen appears, then write serial at version 2,8 and then quit setup and reset), and reseting after each installation...

Thank you I will try that too.

Its installing but not running for me. It says "One or more components of Wi-Fi Companion were not found, or there are too few resources available to start program". This is after i installed 2.8 & 2.9.
Im using a 8125. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Well when i installed it on my SD card, it didnt even create a shortcut in the programs folder. The only thing i see it did was create a "Windows" folder on my SD card with 2 files in it. A dll & an exe file. I tried to start the exe but it did nothing.
