What you need is Agora Contacts Manager
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

It will save all your contacts in a CSV (comma separated values) file, either in the phone memory or on the MMC (in folder Cntmng). It saves absolutely all contact details, including pictures, custom ringtones & group information, so you can restore your contacts seamlessly. A nice plus is that the CSV file is also readable in Excel (in a table form), so if you don't have access to your phone and have a PC backup you can still see all your contacts.

u can try this to:
go to your phone memory drive using a file manager like FEexplorer, then in folder named SYSTEM find DATA folder, rename this folder to somthing else(arbitrary name)and after that get inside the renamed folder and just copy this file:contacts.cdb paste it somwhere else in your memory card, and rename the DATA folder(which has another name now) to DATA again
now u can format your phone memory and then just go to SYSTEM/DATA and rename it to something else and after that just copy the contact.cdb frome memory card inside it
finally rename data folder to DATA again

You can use "backup contacts" application posted in this forum, just do a search, I use it everytime I format my phone and it works good ;)

Probackup is best app for saving contacts... small app, fast and effective.
and thats all what poster needs...
it'll backup complete all details for each contact
and you can restore that backup to diff s60 phone as well...
i transfered approx 480 contacts from 6600 to n70 in about 5 minutes.. including installing app to both phones.... ;)

it is just unuseful, because doing this you would backup all the contents on phone memory, so if you, after format, use this function to revert back changes, it would be like you hadn't formatted at all
hope it's clear ;)

But once I backup my contacts in my memory card or my pc how do I retransfer them to the phone memory so that I can see all my contacts in the contacts list in my 6600?
