Open your casing, take out yr sound card and check what brand and model is that, then go to the related website and download the driver. Unluckily, some card without clear brand and model name then i can't help u.

if you are using a onboard card you can find out by two ways, look up your motherboard online, and go to the website to find out or another way is, if you have legal copy of windows, you can do a hardware update through the windows update and it will find it for you...

first way woudl be best though.

if ur using windows xp professional.......you can try this out..

Detach ur sound card from the motherboard......clean it......and then attach it back to the motherboard..

right click on My Computer--->go to Properties...
select Hardware--->click on Device Manager...

somewhere down below you'll find "Sound, Video & Game Controllers"...
right click on it and select "Scan for hardware changes"...

hopefully this will detect ur sound card and then windows will install the drivers automatically...!
