hi there

Well i formatted an Acer TRavelmate 2410 notebook ... not for the first time but the second time ... the first time was 6 months before and recently i formmatted it again .. to my horror the DVD combo .... was waoking well but suddenly it stopped to reecognise any dvd that i inserted and said no media ?

I was shocked ... well my dvd drive was working perfectly well before after i formatted and once i formatted the second time it worked for 3 -4 times and after thast it stopped reading any dvds .... but dvd combo does read cd .... yeah it reads cd and writes cd too ...

What could be the problem ... my teacher tells me it could be an operating system problem .... and not a hardware problem .... but i thyink it might be a hardware problem what could itbe please help .

By the way i have installed win Xp service pack 2 and i added .... Vista skin whick i downloaded from crystalXP.net .

So guys i need ur advice ?
