hi all i got a windows xp pro pc and i need to install client for microsoft but my pc keeps saying client access is denied all the time so if so can help me sort it out so i can start file sharing agine I was trying to uninstall client services for Netware when I inadvertently uninstalled Client for Microsoft Network.

Everytime I try to reinstall Client for Microsoft Network, I get the following error:Cannot add client for microsoft
???: :cry: :iphonepost: :ilove:

a problem i have not come across before i have 3 suggestions. Firstly, go and visit hxxp://support.microsoft.com it's pretty helpful and most likely have a solution for the problem you have. If that fails and you are unable to find a solution you can try resetting your tcp/ip stack, might be a configuration which is prohibiting you from installing ms client. do this at your own risk...start -> run and type in the following: %SystemRoot%\system32\netsh int ip reset c:\reset.log

the next choice is to plug in your windows xp cd and then start the installation, and then select repair.

these would be the two choices of action that i would choose if you are unable to find a solution at Microsoft.
