but this my lead to loss of contacts & msgs stored in the phone memory

Simply enter the code *#7370# in standby screen and enter ur security when asked!
Caution! This will hard format ur phone memory so backup ur phone memory before doing the same

the code *#7370# is used for soft formatting .... i suggest you could also use the alternative code *#7780# for hard formatting or take the old trick in formatting nokia6600 -- first make sure that ur phone have enough power then switch the unit off then press all together the green dial key, the * and keypad no. 3 then switch on the unit back again but remember just don't let go pressing the 3 keys until formatting appears in the screen and that's were you could only let go of holding the keys together....be sure to backup ur contacts and important messages and especially some images in ur phone memory...in this case the files, and other applications you have in you memory card will not be affected..if you still find difficulties regarding my procedures you could search the forum on formatting ur phone! hope i was able to help u.:idea:

metalslug84: Nokia Care will need to wait 1 or 2 day or sometimes a week leh. Some people will miss his/her phone for so long.

duclongng: Try reinstall the N70 OS using Nokia software updater or try a hard format.
