Well this app works.
the attachment contains a setup file, u need to extarct it and install it.
it will make 2 icons on ur desktop.
1: Shut down
2: Reboot
u need to double click on one of those icons to use.
there is no menu for it

i agree... select shutdown, switch off the monitor and then u dont have to worry if ur pc takes 2 mins to shut down or 5 mins... as long as it shuts down it should be fine... atleast better than ur disc crashing

*nods*... the few seconds saved when shutting your pc down faster will seem like nothing when compared to the weeks/months it could take to recover what could possibly get lost on it should ur HDD become corrupt..for those who dont bkup
i cleared my startup of all programs xept the vital ones.. now (running xp) i can click shutdown and have the power off within just over half a minute.. thats fast enough for me

I can't really see the point of this app, if you want to shut down your PC fast and risk HDD problems then you'd be as well just using the power switch on the back or the mains switch, Windows takes so long to shut down for a reason ignore this at your own peril. Alternatively get a better OS, I'm running a modded version of Windows Server 2003, it looks and acts much like XP but its quicker and a lot more stable, and better still it takes less than 30 seconds to shut down my PC.

this app has a big risk attached to it .. either you want to save time that badly and have a great risk of damaging ur HD which no one would want to .. right ? =P or wait a few minutes to save your com... in the mean time .. why not make use of that few min... like... dust your computer.. wipe the screen.. read a book.. scratch ur head.. you know.. useful stuff like that =)
